Uh yes you have a very good idea of what the calorie intake will be w/o a food scale. Might not be EXACT, but still a good idea. It's not like omg i didn't weight this apple, it could have 1200 calories! Food Scales are NOT necessary, just use good guesses, and err on the side of overestimating portion sizes.

corrected to add trans, though that is mostly what saturated fat is. And in moderation, not really. Not the best fats, but oreos wont kill you if they fit within your goals. Calories are calories, and ultimately that's what matters becuase as your calories come down, so does all that other stuff.

Fats in processed foods are fine, just try to avoid toooo much saturated/trans fats. Nothing wrong with chips, cookies,or fast food, as long as it is withing you calorie goals. The MFP goals are based on recommended macro allowences for a standard diet. Go to settings and adjust the percents to get higher protein, lower carbs and fat. The us dietary guidelines are outdated and not the most appropriate for those eating in a calorie deficit.
