I'm chewing gum at work, also eating celery sticks from time to time. I just wish I knew why this bloat hit me. Last week, at one point, my ordinarily flat stomach was pooched out and I looked 5 months pregnant!

Thanks! Quinoa for breakfast? I never would have thought of that. I've been too scared to try tofu in smoothies. It just seems so weird. I guess you can't knock it until you try it.

I swear, I gained four pounds overnight! Thanks for the tip on the water. I have been drinking tons! My biggest temptation is when I drink, although now that I'm dieting, I won't be doing a lot of that!

If you are quitting, I highly recommend Alan Carr's book called The Easy Way to Quit Smoking. It is awesome! My friends in Finland told me about it. It actually has completed changed the way my brain thought about smoking. Best of luck to you! I think I will get motivated once I see 153 on the scale.

I'm certainly not an expert on this issue, since I usually have a few drinks on weekend too. I would suggest drinking really light beer, or having a glass of water between each drink.

Yeah, mine wants me to be the same. I'm 5' 6" and curvy, and I have lots of muscle. I'm currently 150 and I think I look pretty good. If I were below 135 I would be skeletal. Screw the BMI charts - you know what's healthy and what will look good.

I agree, you are young, but that heart rate seems too high. When I do HIIT (I'm 30), I'm supposed to go up to 165 at most.

Whole wheat pasta - toss with arugula, halved cherry tomatoes, black olives, and goat cheese. Make a dressing with 3 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp red wine vinegar, and 2 tbsp dijon mustard. Fabulous.

A friend of mine recommended adding roasted egglplant to it - sounds good! I have been eating my 600 calorie batch for two days now, dipping sliced cucumber and baby tomatoes in it. Sooooo good and so low-cal. It's almost like potato chips to me. But I have a good imagination ;-)

The chest strap is adjustable and about as wide as a nickel.

I wear a HRM with a chest strap. I'm 5'6", 148 pounds, and I burn about 10 calories a minute with moderate to intense exercise. I think the caloric burn on machines is well over what it actually is. Nope, blenders work great, but you have to work at getting it out with a spoon. If I can do it, anyone can.

I eat a lot of Fiber One bars - love them! I don't get this side effect, but I drink a lot of water. Maybe try more water?
