A question on top of that....is the BodyBugg the same type of thing or is a HRM different?

Rocco Dispirito's book - Now Eat This is amazing. Have had 4 or 5 of the recipes in the past 2 weeks and all have been great!

I wouldn't totally avoid carbs, and wouldn't try the Atkins diet/South Beach diet. For one, they aren't healthy and two, almost impossible to stick to. You'll gain the weight back faster than you lost it once you stop those diets. I'd make sure you're getting carbs because they help give your body fuel.

Recently, my job has not allowed for me to eat every 2-3 hours as I'm with patients most of the day. In the near future, we will slow down so I will be able to do that. Also, I am taking my calories from the machine as I do not have a HRM. I'm thinking my speed on the elliptical may be above that needed to burn fat,…

Luckily my wife and I are in this together, and having quite a bit of success here in the early going. We both know that it's important for us to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Hang in there! I'm sure you understand how important this is to you, so do your best to keep going. I'm sure she'll get on the bandwagon here soon!

Dinner is variable, but usually between 400-700 calories. So I probably eat around 1300 calories a day before a workout. When I workout, I usually do…

Thanks! I was also thinking that I might want to increase my weight loss goal from 2lbs/week to more because I haven't really been that hungry during the day. Do you think that would be appropriate or that I should stick to the 2lbs/week and eat more?

Totally understand how stress influences a diet. I think the best thing that my wife and I were able to do was establish a routine. If you can try to eat your meals and the same times everyday and hit the gym or whatever workout you do at a similar time daily, that should make it a little easier. You really have to work at…

Having started counting calories about a month ago, I think it took a couple weeks to where I wasn't hungry all the time and to where I wasn't having cravings for just about anything. Your body has to become accomodated to you taking in less calories. Also, use all the tips the people above have told you. Hang with it,…
