Returning to MFP!
Wanted to reintroduce myself. Have successfully used MFP in the past, but recently put on more weight that I would have liked so I am making a commitment to rejoin and regularly log my food and exercise. Feel free to add me as a friend!

Hello Again!
I've been on here for a while now and have a great group of friends that are very supportive! If anyone on here is needing support feel free to send me a friend request. My only "rules" are that you should be nice and give support in return and also not be a Beachbody coach trying to sell me something. Thanks! -Ryan

Healthy Eating/Lifestyle Change Books
Hi all, I'm in need of a book that I can read to/from work on the Metro and was wondering if you have any suggestions? Although I'm sure it is difficult to find, I'd prefer an unbiased book. The book I was looking at buying is "Why We Get Fat." Any opinions on that one or thoughts on another? Your help is appreciated! -…

Sugar
My sugar is consistently over what I'm alotted for the day. The good thing (at least in my mind) is that the sugar is coming from natural sources in all the fruit that I eat. I'd like to know if this amount and type of sugar intake will affect my weight loss? I'm doing my best to cut out any type of processed foods. Your…

Apple Cinnamon Smoothie?
I haven't tried to make on yet because apples don't seem like they would produce the right texture for smoothies, but I am curious to know if anyone else has tried it? If so, what do you think and what is your suggested recipe? Thanks! Ryan

General Lifting Programs
Hello everyone, I am looking to tone up pretty much my whole body, but would like to focus on arms, shoulders and chest. Does anyone have a weight lifting program they'd recommend? I do it on my own, but I like to have specific programs that I can use to track weights and check off when I complete the exercise. Thanks

Foot numbness while running?
Hi all, While I'm not new to running, I am new to running consistently, and longer distances at that. Yesterday while running 3 miles, both of my feet went numb and felt really heavy. Took about ten minutes of walking after for the feeling to come back completely. Is this something that is normal with beginning runners?…

Too much water before running?
Hi all, Throughout the day yesterday, I had approximately 18 cups 8oz. cups of water. Later that evening, when running on the treadmill, I noticed heaviness in my feet and more trouble than I usually have running at a 6 mph pace. Has anyone else experienced this? Could the water be the cause or is it something else? Ryan

Tips for waking up early to exercise?
I'll be starting night classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays and will only have time to eat dinner between work and class. I won't be getting home until 10 or 10:30 PM. Any tips to help with getting up early to exercise? Usually not a morning person, but going to have to become one with this schedule. Thanks!

NSV-Clothing
Even though the past couple days have been very tough eating-wise as my wife and I are grieving the loss of her grandmother, I was able to button the neck part of my shirts with no problem! No more worrying if my shirts are going to fit! Now just gotta get back on track with eating and healthy and working out as the last…

Zero Calorie Drinks
I mostly stick to water, but need a little variation now and then, so when I do, I usually go with Propel Zero Lemon. Tonight, I decided to pick up Sobe Lifewater Acai Fruit Punch from the store, and it's pretty terrible. Any other zero calorie drinks that you like when you need to get away from water? Also, are these…

Calories Question
I've been reading a few threads in which lots of people are saying to make sure you "eat your exercise calories." There have been a few days after I've had a really good workout to where I'll have 1500 - 2000 calories left afterwards. I'm guessing this means I should be eating more during the day? Not sure it'd be a good…
