You can find some Zumba workouts on YouTube too; free & you aren't doing the same thing everyday so less boring! Also, I have the DVD's and the Zumba for Wii.... pretty similar but the wii game is much cheaper.

chobani is my personal fav. 0% greek yogurt. It's yummy and loaded with protein. It makes you full, great before or after a workout. 140 cal. per serving

ok so I'm thinking this is a very inactive group. Not much help or support to be found. hmmmmmm

I am able to use the crutches fine but only because a few friends who are nurses gave me lessons and fitted me properly. Now I can go a great distance (although I'm from Alaska and I stay inside cuz snow and crutches don't mix). I also do floor work (push-ups/ sit ups/ leg lifts/ bicycles)

thank you! Great suggestion. I updated my activity level to sedentary (which, I have to admit, makes me kinda sad). That took my daily calorie allowance to 1200 so you were right on. I saw walking w/crutches listed a few weeks ago. I can tell you it surely is a workout if I have to go a distance. My 2012 goal is to get…

thank you so much for the taking the time to read my profile and reply to my post. I am not considering doing the HCG diet. I really know nothing factual about it. I have many family members who are doing it and I just wanted to hear some stories and find out what it's really all about. On a side note, I am a runner…

I've been wondering the same thing for months!

I plan and log my meals ahead of time. It's important for me to see the nutritional information prior to me eating it so I can decide if it's worth it to me. When I eat out, I check the restaurants website to find out the nutritional information so I can make a good choice. It's not spontaneous but I still feel good just…

I pick them based on the course. I prefer city streets rather than trails. Most websites have a course map. You should check out the course map when registering to see if you're comfortable with it. But you may find that after you finish your first 5k you'll be hooked and ready do run another!

You should check out goya.com Lots of good black bean recipes there.

Thank You everyone! I do think it's important to treat yourself. Whether it's a cheat day, cheat meal, or a giant piece of birthday cake.... it's worth it! I had my cake. Proud to say I could only eat 1/2. I feel great I got to enjoy family time. After the cake I made my family go swimming and now we're ready to play the…

Thank You! I had a corner piece with lots of frosting! I guess tomorrow will have to be a long run day. : ) It was 100% worth it!!!

THANK YOU!!!

I log it as aerobic dance.

If it's only been a month since you've run (and you're not hurt from the accident) the best advice I can give is....JUST DO IT! Even if it's just a short 1 mile run, getting back out there will boost your confidence and remind you of why you love to run! I've had lapses in my running (for no good reason other then I was…

I have this problem too. What I found was that although I was eating a lot of protein, I was also eating a lot of sugar. I started tracking my sugar and it really helped me to become aware not only of how many calories and fat grams I consume each day, but how I choose to spend my calories and fat grams. I was staying…

exhilarate (60 minutes). it's part of the DVD series, I have the set and it's by far the best in the series.

write everything down even if you cheat. It may take time to get back into the groove but you can do it! Just think about how hard you've worked, how badly you want it and how great you'll feel when you get back at it. Also (for future use) I heard a statement once about falling off the wagon: When you cheat, make sure to…

at 5 cups a day you are not drinking enough water. Especially considering you workout hard (and in doing so are loosing water due to sweating). For me personally, drinking water (80-100 ounces a day) helps me prevent water retention. I retain water when I drink diet soda/ sugar free energy drinks or have too much sodium.

thanks everyone! I drink them daily too. I have got to have some fun in my life!
