Add me if you'd like. I'm active on MFP and try to encourage as often as possible.

to me, Level 3 was much easier than level 2.

Feel free to add me. I am always looking for good MF Pals that are moms. Support works!

I quit sugar in July and it was really, really tough! I had many of the same symptoms you described but they lasted less than 2 weeks. I am a ligit sugar addict...no getting around it. I would eat mostly sugar everyday! I got through it and I haven't touched the stuff in 4 months (that includes hidden sugars in processed…

OK...I get it! I need to eat more & protein drinks are better post workout! Got it! Just to set the record straight....I have NOT been eating so few calories on purpose, I just haven't had much of an appetite the past few weeks and didn't feel the need to force myself to eat when not hungry. I know I'm not taking in enough…

It works extremely well! I did it and LOVED it! I didn't take my measurements before/after (would strongly suggest you do if you get it) but there was a noticeable difference in my arms and tummy within the first few weeks.. The Levels are a natural progression so at first you don't even realize how strong you're getting.…

I used to live in Alaska and for winter running I would wear the same shoes. A lot of my friends took their regular running shoes and had screws put into the soles at our local running store.

I used to log it as 20 minutes of circuit training and it was usually around 220 calories. I did Level 1 and Level 2 over the weekend using a heart rate monitor and both actually burned around 220 calories each. I think logging it as circuit training is pretty accurate.

you should try this website to calculate your Zumba calories. http://caloriesburnedhq.com/zumba-calories-burned/

when I did the 30 day shred, the first week I was extremely sore everyday. Doing the dvd actually helped relieve my pain. Maybe...give it a try and just do what you can as well as you can.

Great job! With your 2 mile time you'll be able to run 3 miles without trouble (although I'm guessing your pace will need to slow a bit). Good Luck and welcome to the addictive world of 5K running!
-
You are doing the right thing! I myself was addicted to sugar and finally quit it almost 3 months ago. I was probably near committing a homicide during the first month but I got through it and I'm fine now. They'll get over it as long as you stay strong. Nice to see some parents willing to make family sacrifices to keep…

I'll send you a friend request! I'm looking for support from others moms as well!
-
My situation EXACTLY. My oldest is also 10.
-
Perfect! that's exactly the sort of thing I hope my boys will do! I try to get them to join in but they fizzle out fast! I'd love some advice and I'm sure you will inspire!

I'm loving all this mom power! It's really interesting how our habits rub off without us even knowing it! I honestly thought I was hiding my food dysfunction from my kids. Not so, they picked up on all of it! One of my biggest obstacles to my weight loss journey was that my boys were constantly asking for the junk foods…

funny that we are mostly all moms with boys! I'm loving all the mom support : )
-
great! thank you.

My boys (8 and 10) don't need to lose weight either. They do need to learn that food is fuel; it isn't a social event or reward (which it was in the past thanks to me). I'll add you as a friend. thanks for the reply!

You should keep it to what you did during your training. If you usually take a rest day, have a rest day. I get really tired if I run too many days in a row and it really tires me out. Also, about hydration.... be careful. My first 5k I drank before the race; I had to "go" the entire run which was really distracting and I…

I just finished the 30 days. I didn't take before & after pix but I wish I had. It is a great progression, your strength increases tremendously. 1 week into level 2 I decided to do level 1 for a bonus workout. I couldn't believe how easy it was. Be prepared, level 2 is rough at first; lots of planks. But, level 3 is great…

Lots of good recipes & links to blogs on PInterest. One blog I really love is Living Low Carb...One day at a Time. http://lconeday.blogspot.com/

12 minute mile is pretty good. I ran my first 5k in about 38 minutes and I was no where near the last one finished. Go for it! It's a great way to gauge how well you're doing. Get the first one over with as a way to push yourself to improve your time the next 5k!
-
Yup! Addictive. You start out wanting to finish. Then you'll want to do another to try to run the entire 5k. Then you'll want to go again to improve your time. Next thing you know, you're hooked! Enjoy you first! Great job!

My thoughts EXACTLY! He clearly doesn't know anything about zumba!

I thought I was safe drinking Skinnygirl Margarita and Sangria but then I read the serving size which is 1.5 ounces. It's 300 calories if you drink a good sized cup of the margarita. Still better then others but not as good as I thought.

I've been back at it for the past several weeks. With some new MFP friends for extra support I've been able to push through my usual pattern for fizzling out after the first week. Add me. I can use all the support I can get and will try to give some too. : )
-
Hello Sarrah. I've been on & off the last year too. I've been doing really good the last few weeks with the help of some new MFP friends so I know that support & accountability make a HUGE difference. Add me if you'd like. : )

Losing Inches is as good or better than losing pounds. But I know it can be frustrating when you feel you're giving it your all and the scale doesn't reflect that. Taking your measurements will help you know exactly how far you've come. Great motivator. Add me if you'd like. You can never have enough support! Good luck : )

add me in too! I love 30 day shred. Finished level one but took a week off so I'm just starting again.
