  • Love to be 140, but I'd like to just get to 160 first and then keep on going.
  • My understanding is that being above the zone is fine. Depending on what you put in for info, it is calculating your fat burning zone. There are a billion charts and formulas for your target heart rate. I go over the zone sometimes, but not for my whole workout.
  • I have the Polar FT4, it doesn't have any many bells and whistles, which is what I want. It tracks workout times, heart rate, being in the zone, and calories burned (my favorite part). I haven't had any problems with it and found it on amazon for $60.
  • Thinking about starting Insanity. I didn't like P90X because of the need for bands, weights, etc. I workout with a personal trainer twice a week lifting weights, so I'm hoping this will be my extra push for the rest of the week. I would be starting either today or tomorrow. I currently eat between 1400-1800 calories..or…
  • I got the Polar FT4 and I love it. Only cost about $60 through Amazon.
  • I am working out 7 days a week. I was pushing myself to do 2 hours a day, but now I am focusing on a better burn and harder workout in a shorter period of time. So between 30 minutes-1 hour 30 minutes
  • I own a pizza/pasta restaurant...yes it makes it that much harder to lose weight
  • I should have explained, that I lost the 3.5 the first week and it has only budged up and down a half pound for the last two. I'm drinking 64 oz. of water a day. I'm mixing up my meals between meat, chicken, shrimp, other fish, etc. I keep up on the veggies and go light on breakfast. Typically having my coffee and a V-8 or…
  • I agree with booze and water being the issue. I've made the same mistake checking myself mid week and then freaking out or being really disappointed with a loss on my weigh in day because it wasn't as big as midweek. Don't worry about it now. Continue to get all of your waters in and it will shed itself away. I'm trying…

  • Thanks! I had to figure out how to turn self pity into actually doing something. It was just as easy as deciding to do it..who knew? I did my first workout this morning, felt great. Already had plans to do lunch with friends, going to sushi. I usually get a deep fried roll and am not doing that today. Got 20 oz. water down…
  • My husband and I started p90x yesterday. We want to do it but will be out of town 2 days this week where we can't possible do it..but plan on walking/jogging instead. I really liked the Core workout we started with...we actually started on Monday, but mistakenly did a video that you don't do until phase 3 so we said forget…
  • So i read situps instead of pushups. I'm going to stick with situps and start trying pushups...though i could only do 2...long way from 60. I got my walk/jog in on saturday and monday but missed the rest. I will start catching up today. Letting my breakfast settle and i'm hitting my treadmill. Getting the water down has…
  • Thanks for doing this, I'm in! Heading to Hawaii Nov. 9th and really want to lose my 25 lbs I gained back since last summer. 10 is a great start!
  • I was checking out some recipes that I wanted to try but didn't see nutrition facts listed, am I just missing it?
