MFP only suggest calories, fat, protein, etc. You can change any one of these settings to your personal preference. As for the diary you can also make it public to everyone by changing your settings to public, not just by making them your friend.

Come on people.......different strokes for different folks. Don't flame for the OP for HER choice of lifestyle.

You look amazing!! I started the 30 Day Shred.....made it 3 days and got stress with preparing for final exams (nursing school), but you have totally motivated me to start up again after my last exam on Monday! Congrats, you look beautiful!

Agreed! I have been very successful in the past watching my carb intake. Not to mention 100 grams of carbs a day is not a low carb diet at all, so no need to flame the OP. My advice it to up your protein! You can do things like snack on boiled eggs, have larger servings of protein (3oz of chicken is very little), and add…

I totally agree with you! I think people are way too hung up on the "starvation mode" theory. I think the main KEY is that everyBODY is different. We may have to test the waters a bit to see what works for us as individuals. I there is no one magic key or rule to weight loss.

I am another one that finds that protein keeps me full longer. Try snacking on a boiled egg, Fage yogurt, or even some left over chicken or other lean meat.
-
Agree!! Do this for you and you only and there is no doubt you will succeed!

First off ketoacidosis is a serious condition resulting from diabetes, not from a low carb diet. Low carb diets put you into ketosis which are two entirely different things.

Truly wish I had some insight. I have been stuck at the same weight for a month, even despite major switching my plan up 9 days ago and have yet to see the scale budge. Hopefully someone has a great advice for you and I both!

I am 31. I currently weigh 211, and looking to lose another 60 to 70 pounds. Would love support and motivation!

I am on day 6 with no loss as of yet, however I am eating super clean and doing everything right so I know once my body gives in the weight will start to come off. The diet is only restrictive for the first 17 day cycle, each cycle after that allows more "healthy" carbs and fats. It is actually a very sensible way to eat.…

I just found MFP a few days ago, so far I am loving it. I am currently eating a high protein, lower carb, lower glycemic diet.

My snack of choice right now is Fage greek style yogurt. Is has about 130 calories per cup and no fat. It is a lot thicker than regular yogurt so it is super filling and has a good amount of protein. I flavor it with truvia or sugar free jam.

Looking at your diary I would say that it is more about what you are eating and not how much you are eating. McDonalds and brownies are pretty much wasted calories and have little to no nutritional value.

Count me in! I need some motivation. My current weight is 211.5 I would love to get to 185 (my pre-pregnancy) weight by labor day and the start of my second year of nursing school.

Would love to know this as well. I just found the site a few days ago and am using MFP to track exercise and calories. I personally am following a high protein, lower carb, low glycemic index diet.

I am new to MFP, but am more than willing to show mine once I figure out how ;)

I would love to join in! I have about 60 + pounds I would like to lose. I started my weight loss journey in December after my son was born late November. Today I have lost 41.5 pounds. I just joined MFP yesterday and so far love this site! I don't have much support in my life as far as fitness and weight loss goes so this…

I am currently in an ADN program. I just found this site but so far I am loving it. My only question is what "diet" is everyone doing to lose the weight? I have 41 pounds since my son was born in November, and have about 60 more to go. I was doing a bit on my own then started Nutrisystem for a while and lost 19 pounds,…

Amazing results! I just started it yesterday, plan on doing the entire 30 days and then moving up to the next level etc. until I do all three levels!
