  • Honey does contain sugar- a decent amount. But then again, so does fruit. If you are to be consuming any kind of sweetner, honey should be the one!! Not only is it more pure and natural then any other form of 'sugar', but eating it also helps to combat hay fever and things like that :)
  • I live in South Africa, if thats closer to your timezone feel free to add :)
  • Quick, easy and cheap = egg white omlette. 3 or 4 egg whites with whatever takes your fancy. Personally, I like to bulk it up with things like mushrooms, fat-free feta, some chicken or tuna, maybe some pepperdews. The beauty of it is that anything that is in your fridge can be thrown in =)
  • I've been there. The only thing I can suggest is one thing: those two hours between you and your husband getting home: try to stay out. Even better, go to the gym, or a class, something. Sit down and eat with him. This way you will eat slower and eat a more respectable portion. Then afterwards, he will be around for the…
  • Eating more can boost your metabolism and = weightloss. Think of it as a 'kick start' from starving yourself before.
  • The only sustainable way to diet is to follow your goals and limits on My Fitness Pal- don't go over your calories or fat (obviously fibre and protein is fine to go over!!) and try exercise regularly. Low-carb diets, which I have tried, work initially but become so limiting that they are not sustainable. Its gotta be good…
  • I would only log it if it actually increases your heart rate!
  • I am exactly the same! When I feel sick, I eat. Strange :) But I don't think its too bad as long as you stick reasonably to your diet, as you seem have done, and any chocolate that you factor in just make sure you dont go over your normal daily calories too extremely! Maybe you will get a fever and sweat it all out :D
  • I know exactly how you feel.. I am studying law at the moment, and now being away at university and having to cook and shop etc for myself is taking a toll on my ability to work out! And it is so easy to become lazy when you are cooking for yourself... Luckily I am on holiday at the moment (6 week break) so I have made an…
  • It all depends on the nutritional content of these bars. I would definitely encourage you to up the intake of protein- especially if you are working out! However, many protein bars can be high calorie or high fat. Make sure you have a look at the different options of bars to see which is the most suited to your diet. What…
  • I'm also 5"2, my goal weight is around 115lbs/53kg which is the weight I look the best and healthiest at. At the moment I am about 127lbs/58kg. Scary thought is that in 2009, when I had an eating disorder, I weighed 79lbs/36kg.... :/ Do you find that at our height, the weight shows on the lower half of the body???
  • Also suffered from an ED two years ago... always scared to 'cross the line' again! Well done
  • I chatted to a personal trainer at my gym a while ago and he recommended that you should do enough cardio to bring up your heart-rate, then some weights, some more cardio, some more weights etc.. Apparently its beneficial to do weights while the heart rate is up. I also find it far easier to break it up like this- you are…
