I kicked soda out of my life 2 years ago and haven't missed it! On average I now drink 160 oz. of water daily and feel so much better! No more water retention and my blood pressure has never been lower! My ex-husband just recently removed soda from his life and has replaced his sugar addiction with something called 'Topo…

Nada. I will continue to consume all the foods in moderation! Restricting foods has always led to cravings and eventually failure, I must learn to eat all foods in moderation if I want this to be a life change not just another diet.

CW - 245.4 GW - 230 UGW - 184 I figure 230 is achievable for a 90 day challenge, that's 15 lb. over 3 months. *Edited to add my plan of action! I replaced my chair with a stability ball almost a year ago and have lost most of my weight so far by rocking the ball daily, My mfp starting weight was 312.5. Got a weight bench…

I struggled with anorexia as a teen and young adult so taking before pictures was an absolute necessity for me. I still see myself at over 300 lb. when I look in the mirror and the pictures show me that I definitely look different, even when I don't see it.

A friend of mine has the same issue. He has been diagnosed with metabolic disorder. The more he works out, the more he has to work out to keep losing or to maintain. There are treatments but I'm not sure what they are.

This only applies to OFF-DUTY MILITARY! It has nothing to do with civilians.

Although it is true that you cannot spot reduce, I have personally found that squats have made a tremendous difference in my thunder thighs! Having bad knees I hold a bar while squatting and I modify so that I am actually doing sumo squats, there's a video on YouTube, I have achieved amazing results and wonderfully strong…

I started out over 300 lb. The first thing I did was purchase a stability ball for $8.65 at Walmart. I began by sitting on it at my computer for 30 min. a day and worked up to 2 hours a day. Now I spend most of the day on my ball, even while doing homework or watching t.v.. It sounds silly but I have lost almost 70 lb.…

I agree that you cannot spot reduce, that being said, I have found that squats really help tighten and tone the thighs and calves. There is a great squat challenge on here that I have done twice with amazing results! Good luck!

We just got back from a Living Dead Festival with a midnight showing of Rocky Horror, it was amazing! Haven't seen others dress up and bring props since I left Arizona 20 years ago. I was Eddie and my twins were Magenta and Columbia, SO MUCH FUN!!!

My daughter has bipolar disorder and the same thing happened to her with medication. She is now on Geodon and is working with me on her nutrition and exercise, she has already lost 6 lb. in 2 weeks... granted the first few weeks is water weight, but she is on the road to being healthier with this new med.

Highly recommend squats! At 50 years old my tush has never been more firm and my thighs are amazingly muscular after completing a 30 day squat challenge! Not to mention I am closer to achieving a thigh gap than I ever imagined possible!

Welcome! I decided to get serious about getting healthy in Feb. 2013, I was 312 lb. As of this morning I am at 244, it has all been worth it! I struggle with depression and am disabled with a bad knee. Going to the gym is interesting, I try to hit the pool whenever I can. I bought trekking poles online for about $20. and I…

I have struggled with anorexia. Some days I still have to convince myself that not eating is what caused me to become morbidly obese. At 312 lb. I finally woke up and did some serious research. What I have learned is 1. Weight loss IS 80% what goes in your mouth and 20% how much you move your body. 2. You MUST eat to lose…

This is bunk! Don't buy into it! Do the research yourself!

I have been low carb since Feb. of this year and have lost 66 lb. so far. Would love to offer and receive support from like minded individuals!

Living in Texas, homeschooling is better for lots of kids, mine included. My twin daughter's attended public school in Arizona until we moved to Texas. We tried public school until 9th grade and chose to home-school them because they are both gifted and the education system in Texas is severely lacking. The school district…
