This: http://www.ambitiouskitchen.com/2013/04/crunchy-cashew-thai-quinoa-salad-with-ginger-peanut-dressing/#comment-5123 It's amazing. I recommend adding the chickpeas for a little more substance.

Target or Marshall's (all brands). I refuse to spend a PT of money on something I sweat in. My running shoes I get at a running store. That's a whole different ball game.

STOP RUNNING! I say this emphatically because 3 months ago I had hip surgery. I pushed through my hip pain and ended up with complete detachment oft cartilage. I did end up with a steroid shot (with MRI), but don't get one just so you can keep running. That's how you end up really badly hurt. Are you seeing an ortho? They…

I've been there! Last November I injured my hip and I had surgery in April. I definitely gained some weight in those 6 months (and the weeks following surgery). I'm on the mend now. Even more than the weight gain, I found I was really de-conditioned from forced inactivity for so long. Feel free to add me as a friend!

Thighs and bottom. 100%!

When I'm running I'm so focused on what I'm doing (and trying to breathe) that I hardly notice anyone else running, never mind what they might be wearing/what might be jiggling. Just focus on taking one step at a time. I promise no one is judging you. If you feel self-conscious about your running just remember: you are…

I'm a hair shy of 5'8" and my current goal is 145. I think my ultimate goal is 140, but my body seems happiest at 145. I'm a medium-build pear shape : )

I say everything in moderation. I'm not a huge soda drinker anyway, but I have about 1 diet soda per week and it quenches some of my sugary cravings.

Use a smaller plate! And fill it with veggies (at least half). Having that full plate will trick your mind into eating less. Another thing that helps is once you serve yourself, and before you eat, box up any leftovers and put them in the fridge so you can't go back for seconds as easily. And don't do anything else but eat…

You want "whole wheat". This means that the vitamin/fiber dense (bran and germ) portions of the wheat are within the product, not just the starchy portions (endosperm). If you look at the ingredients list, you want the FIRST ingredient to be "Whole wheat flour', not "enriched" flour or anything else. I am not a registered…

I have enjoyed working with a personal trainer to how me how to use the equipment properly and help me incorporate new exercises into my routine. And they can be a great source of motivation. Sometimes taking the thinking and planning out of exercise is quite helpful and can make you just get things done. I did get injured…

I'm 5'7.5" and 153 lbs. I'm hourglass/leaning-towards-pear shaped and I'm an 8 to 10 on the bottom (10s are loose). At 145 (my goal) I'm a 6 to 8. Tops are M, dresses are 6-10 (depends on the fit) or M.

Cheese. Anything with cheese.

Yes! I have absolutely felt the guilt. I think in the past this is ultimately why I've given up calorie counting is I end up obsessing a little bit about everything and I get sick of feeling guilty all the time. Then I don't want to log because it will look terrible... enter vicious cycle. No advice on ridding of the…

I'm like 5'7.5" and my goal is about 143 or 145. In my dream world it's 140, but my body really doesn't like to maintain that low. I say I'm of average build with wide hips and shoulders.
-
I do best when I log the night before. I bring breakfast, lunch, and snacks with me to work, so it also makes for efficient packing the next morning. Sometimes things change as the day goes on, but I enjoy pre-planning.

I think it's a matter of what works for you. I really need the extra fuel in a day when I put in a good workout. I eat 1500 cal/day (set to lose about .7-.8 lbs per week). I usually burn from 300-600 calories per workout and usually eat between 1700 and 1900 calories on work out days. I usually have a little left over. I…

I weigh in daily, but only record once per week (usually Sundays, Monday if I forget). I know to expect fluctuations, but it helps me to know if my "weigh in" weight is accurate or just a low vs. high "blip." Plus, I find when I avoid the scale... there is a reason. Usually because I know it won't look pretty. I just take…

Basically it makes clothes that are physically larger as smaller size. For example, today's size 8 is somewhat similar to a size 12 a few decades ago.

Levi's 515. The waist is a little higher, but allows room for a pear shape and smaller waist! I have ones that are boot cut. I also have the "curvy straight" jeans from GAP outlet. They're aren't full skinnies, and I think they complement my shape well... with no gaping at the waist!
-
I weigh in daily. I only record every Monday morning though. When I know I've been bad about eating and that my weight is higher, I tend to avoid the scale.... leading to denial. It keeps me in check. And I understand that my weight will fluctuate a bit. So I don't freak out when I'm a pound higher from day to day.

I think the idea is that artificial sweeteners are actually between 10 and 300 times sweeter than regular sugar (I don't know the comparison to HFCS or the like). So if you are not careful, you will crave things that are 'more sweet'. I think if you are tracking well, a diet root beer would be a great treat.

Things always on my list: Bananas Other fruit (it literally says that, I buy what's on sale) Lettuce Bell peppers Tomato Cucumber Skim milk Greek yogurt (non-fat) Raw almonds Kashi granola bars Joseph's tortillas Oatmeal

5'7.5" and my goal is 140ish. Give or take. I'm working on toning a lot too, so that's more important to me this time around.

Wheat bread, if it is 100% whole wheat (read the ingredients list, the first one should be WHOLE wheat flour, not enriched flour), has many vitamins that are not found in white bread or regular 'wheat bread'. Calorie-wise they are the same, or whole wheat is a tad higher. But white bread is only the starch of the grain and…

If you're looking for a good tortilla, I swear by Joseph's brand. They are 70 calories, and they actually taste GOOD!

When I first joined in May 2011, I lost 9 pounds in about 2.5 months. I might skew to the low end because I am not overweight to being with, just high "normal" according to BMI. Now... I am going to do that all over again.
