TAMALES! But they were homemade so I was able to control a lot of what went into them. Instead of lard I used chicken broth and olive oil and the chicken filling was made with only the breast. Then I did go hiking and played catch with the hubby this afternoon. I'm feeling good!

Idid. Almost 2 pounds! I'm so excited about it! I did have healthier versions of traditional Mexican food like tamales, but today we took the kids on a 1-mile hike through the trails near Wrightwood. Then my husband and I played catch for about 40 minutes. I think he kept throwing it over my head on purpose, but it's ok.…

If you have a smart phone, most have an app for a free Couch 2 5K. It helps you build up from walking for three minutes, jogging for one until you are jogging for the entire 5K. I have a fitness course I have to get through in April so I have a little more time. Good luck to you!

This is a great place! I'm sure you will find the support you will need here.

I haven't lost anything, but just find it funny that I have always wanted to be bigger than a B and that's what you hope to shrink to. I hope to drop from a B-C to a solid B. Let's see how it goes.

It's definitely not easy. I have to take steroids in pretty high doses for my asthma and I have to fight for every single pound. I get a little more discouraged when I hear how pounds melt off peole when all they do is switch from soda to water. I don't drink soda, hardly ever have sweets, and don't eat many fried foods…

If you guys can rustle up the peeps, I think an MFP team would be an awesome idea!!

TO SURVIVE THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!!! and health, always health. ;0) Honestly, I like being strong and want to be in good enough shape to survive a catastrophe even if it isn't of the zombie kind. I also want to feel hot again. My husband tells my I am, but until I feel it, I will keep on keepin' on.

That's very cool! Congratulations to you.

I have done some of the Shimmy workouts on FitTv and while they are challenging in the movement aspect, I didn't feel especially challenged physically. I prefer swing. I just learned the Lindy Hop and it will make you sweat! But really, it's what works for you and your stage in the game right now. I know belly dancing…

This sounds like fun! I'm going to grab my hubby and try this. How often do we check in?

I would like to join, as well. I am a little late but need the motivations and accountability. Thanks!

I'm not over 50 but my mom is and I can tell she starts to lose fairly quickly when she goes for walks in the desert behind our house for at least half an hour. It's usually only a few pounds at first but then she needs to ramp it up. Her problem is she isn't consistent. But either way, even if you only lose a little bit…

That is very inspiring. I have have many ups and more than a few downs. Days like that are amazing and even though I'mnot where I want to be, I definitely see a difference in my stamina.

I tried it a few months ago and couldn't do it. I'm going to revisit in a few weeks. Welcome!

We already have an *kitten* kicking zombie crew made up of a bomb-maker, a weapons expert (hubby was in the Army,) medic, (friend's hubby), close range tactical fighter (because I'm Mexi and my buddy is Filipino, we're great with a knife and machete  ) and a leader. Our plan is simple. First get to the Costco where…
