  • I have a punching bag outside that most times does the trick, but not always. I do have to say, though, that after hitting it for about 20 minutes, usually don't want to binge eat anymore. If I had a really stressful day, it can be hard.
  • I'm working up to finish an hour of Zumba, but I do about three hours of swing dancing on Saturdays, Salsa Mondays and Wednesdays, circuit training Tuesdays and Thursdays and Fridays it mix it up. Sundays are either off or I have an active family day hiking or playing frisbee or catch outside. I dig that mine changes a lot…
  • Wed don't close the kitchen but we do monitor. If my kids want a late snack, I make sure it's a bowl of fruit or some cereal. We don't keep many sweet in the house and if you do we don't keep them within the children's reach. All three of my kids eat healthy foods, but they all have different body types. My two oldest are…
  • I try to take the long way or stairs to a destination such as the printer, bathroom, or other departments. It may not be much but it can add up. I also walk for half of my lunch hour in the parking lot. We have a target about two blocks away, so on days when I eat at my desk, I take my lunch hour, walk to Target and just…
  • You can be frustrated, just make sure that frustration doesn't turn and you give up. If they aren't being supportive I know it can be hard, but look to yourself for inner support. You can do it. Then log on here to make yourself accountable to others. For a little group of people on here you check in with every so often…
  • You know I wondered how much jumping in the waves burned. I did that for nearly two hours with my kids and the closest I got was body surfing so I just wrote down less than 2 hours.
  • WOWIE ZOWIE!!!!!!
  • Oh yeah and CONGRATS!!!!!
  • I worked out with all but one of my kids and I was fine! Most of my problems with wight gain was only in small part due to pregnancies. It's mostly due to stress eating and medications. Idon't know what you're doing now, but definitely keep moving. Wlaking is great and some light weightlifting is good, too. But always ask…
  • I LOVE t his site. I found it last year and go back to it every so often. I forgot to post it here. It's made the rounds of my Facebook friends, though.
  • I have def not been on track for the past few days. I have worked out a lot to make up for my bad choices, but I can't help but think how much ahead I could've been if I wouldn't have gone through those drive thrus. NO BEATING MYSELF UP!!! Tomorrow is another day and , God willing, I will have many more!
  • Well, you're in the right place to get support. Get back on that wagon and we will be there with you! You can do it!
  • I think it's wonderful you've decided to make healthy changes, not only to lose weight, but to get youself at a better state. My husband is an Army veteran so I know how hard it can be when one is fit and the other is, well, fat. My husband and I started as friends, and before I had kids, we used to jog together, go for…
  • Change up your workout! Try a dance class, go roller skating at the local rink. Take a hike on a regular basis!
  • I don't really think getting tattooed burns calories, but I know my bro has been diabetic since he was 7 (he's 30 now) and in stressful situations his blood sugar drops. Were you getting a particularly large piece done? Maybe your body was stressed. I know it's happened to my Hozie in the past. One time he had just…
  • FANTASTIC!!! You're doing so well! Keep it up!
  • Issues at work and contemplating what to do tomorrow. But I'm usually up at this time. It's 12:30 a.m. in Cali.
  • 5'4" 180 and about an American 12 or 14. Unless they are lowrise then I have gone as big at 17. I have a big butt and I can't get any coverage with lowrise jeans. Even when I was about 130 I was an 8 or 10. My smallest was a 5 when I weighed about 115, but I was very sickly then and looked like I was on drugs. Not a good…

  • I live in SoCal. An hour from LA and two hours from Las Vegas.
  • Aside from being consistent with my 30 to 60 mins of cardio, I log on here every day. Another welcomed change is turning our family weekends into activity-based weekend, be it hiking, playing Lazertag or frisbee., we're teaching the kids to get moving.
  • I started using my Pandora account to dance to about 30 to 45 minutes of songs I love! I feel great after I'm done and it doesn't feel like a chore because I love the music and artists!
  • Way to go!!! You look great and I bet you feel great, too! You're an inspiration!
  • WOOT WOOT!!! I know was only 15 pounds away from being 200 and that was it for me. I'm not a tall girl and I couldn't "Pull it off" like some others may have. I have been on MFP for several months but never really took it as seriously as I should until now. I have lost five pounds and have lessened my need for my asthma…
  • I make a chicken salad that I really like. Shredded or cubed chicken breast Chopped red apple cranberries walnuts Lite Mayo Lawry's garlic salt to taste Mix it all together and put it on some toasted whole wheat bread and it's deelishus with a side of fruit or a low-cal yogurt. YUMMY! Hope this helps!
  • I don't have an iPhone, sorry. I'm a Driod gal. ;0)
  • Agreed! I want to see because it's been about three years since I last wore a dress and I was not happy in the least. It's been 10 years since I liked how I looked in a dress.
  • We have about the same goal and star weights! We can help each other!
  • Have you tried to ask them to go out on a healthy outing like hiking or playing football or catching a frisbee? Offer to makke a picnic and pack some healthy alternatives. They may like the food and enjoy themselves. Then you can offer to do it more often. You can also sneak in there that since you changed your habits you…
