Nothing wrong with them at all. For many it's the first step in learning to control carbs. I now just try to keep carbs somewhere between 50-100 per day. The trick is getting through the induction period.

My trainers are Shawn T (Insanity & Aslyum) and GSP (Rushfit). They come to work in my garage M-F, sometimes twice per day. I doubt that I'd hire a personal trainer since I see them as an 'accountability' tool. That's it. You pay the money, now you force yourself to show up. You've paid you money, so you follow the…

Since you know it's coming. Budget your calories and concentrate on controlling your portion size.

It's true. I can't wait until you find out about the cooking spray scam :)

Guess won't make the cut. I'm a 5 day per week type. I need the weekends to recover. I don't count yard work or coaching soccer/basketball on weekends as exercise anyway.

I weigh maybe once a month.

A fast does a few things. 1. it empties your glycogen stores. (this is the weight you lose and then gain right back) 2. has the effect of lowering your daily calorie intake average. Instead of fasting, just eat at a deficit. It'll give you a much more consistent idea of where you really are with your weight loss.

I was going to recommend a similar change. I didn't read the entire thread, would you consider adding a soy protein powder to increase your protein intake? As for the carbs, well try not to eat 'carbs out of a box', they'll be highly refined. Good luck.

i'm on daily. feel free to add me.

I log it as cardio with about a 400 cal burn. In a perfect world I'd have a HRM.

A general rule is that if your food comes out of a box or package it's processed and contains too many carbs. Chicken and brocoli? Steak and a side salad? I typically eat somewhere between 50-100 carbs per day. You can check my log if you like, but I typically try to eat paleo/keto M-F.

Not really. But I do carb load on the weekends, then it's back to <50 carbs for the week. Yes I'll have a milkshake if I want, but I still log it and try to hit my cals (with a high carb angle).

I weigh ever week or so and log my weight. FYI - I've just returned from a week in SFO, I doubt I lost weight when I was there :)

First akk gave you the same info I was going to post. It's the nutrition! My first round of Insanity was actually 90 days. I had to repeat the first month twice before moving on. I lost 45lbs (235 to 190) in 6 months. The trick really was eating high protein, low carb like the nutrition guide suggest. I still do Insanity…

Insanity or P90X in the garage !!

Don't worry about trying to put together a hybird at first. Start on CE. It'll be hard when you start and it'll be hard when you complete the program. Just do your best. After you complete a round or two of CE, if you think you've mastered the cardio then look into either Turbo Fire or Insanity. Now you set for 6+ months.…

A fat/obese person already knows there's an issue with weight. They'll have to get to a point where the excuses about working out no longer make sense to them. Then they'll shoe some determination and change. Lets face it. It's basically a personal decision.

You break up with every boy/girl friend you have until you get married. Even then it's not a sure thing.

Ill read the whole thread, but this is my midset.
