BeFit in 90: https://www.youtube.com/user/BeFitin90 It's free, and I got a MUCH better workout with this than with Power 90. I honestly never tried P90X or anything by Jillian Michaels because I've always found Jillian incredibly annoying and Tony Horton only slightly less so... If you don't mind a little bit of work…

I'm a big fan of the stuff on nerdfitness.com; he has a post about setting up a simple training routine: http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2010/02/15/how-to-build-your-own-workout-routine/

My wife & I usually try to ignore the cravings. A cup of herbal tea or lots of water often help. But if we absolutely HAVE to eat something, we pull out the hot-air popcorn maker. A cup of air-popped popcorn (sans butter, which we never bother with) is only 31 calories.

Last year for Christmas, my wife got "The Vegan Slow Cooker" cookbook, and I highly recommend it. Only 12 buck & change on Amazon, and the recipes for seitan and beans alone make it worth that. The Spanish Quinoa is another favorite for us... http://www.amazon.com/The-Vegan-Slow-Cooker-Intensely/dp/1592334644 I also…

I feel you're totally justified, Sammie. If this happens again, here's what you do: Go to the pub place the day before and get something to go. Then bring that with you to the lunch the next day, order the most expensive thing on the menu (on the company's dime), then eat your lunch and throw out the item that you were…

To put things into perspective, Aubrey, I feel that the vast majority of the people on the boards are actually quite nice and helpful (at least, that's been my experience). That being said, yes, there are some people who seem feel that it is their destiny to make a snap decision on what anyone posts and slap them down if…

Just got this and several from carld256's list. Thanks for sharing the info, guys! Go Team Vegan!

Don't know if anyone else follows them on Facebook, but BeFit posted a question the other day asking if anyone would be interested in a second 90-day program. The results were overwhelmingly positive, so I have high hopes that it will be happening at some point!

I’m split. I’m don’t really like working out in the morning but my wife does, so during the week she workouts while I make breakfast and pack our lunches. In the afternoon, I walk the dog between 2-2:30, then workout afterward. On the weekend, we never know what the rest of the day will bring, so I bite the bullet and…

Feel free to add me. Also, check out the numerous vegetarian and/or vegan groups on MFP.

Well, it's not a daily thing, but we have a Cupcake-Wars-winning bakery in our town (Ava's Cupcakes; they won the "I Love Lucy" episode). So for my wife and I, Saturday is cupcake day. We LOVE Saturdays...

I joined the day after my wife did, and it's been great. We can support and help each other, share interesting posts and recipes, track each other's progress... It makes me feel doubly sorry for the people who post that their spouse/significant other is being unsupportive.

I've made "french fries" out of eggplant before, but they were never crispy enough. I'm going to try this technique on those and see if it helps....

This. Once you get the idea, it's easy to add different mix-ins to get the flavor you like. One change I would make to the above recipe is that I've found that adding a little almond milk (or soy or 1% or whatever you drink) makes it a little creamier, almost like soft serve.

I almost always go over on my protein, with no ill effects. And I've always heard that Vitamin C is totally water soluble so if you get too much of it in your system you either sweat it out or pee it out, so no worries there,

I wear shoes unless I'm doing yoga. I recall reading that lifting weights in bare feet is okay (or may even be better than wearing shoes) but I haven't tried it ... and doubt I will. I rate it with running bare foot; it sounds okay, just not for me.

Yeah, my wife uses Urban Decay and loves it.

There's a lot of artificial stuff in them, but if that doesn't bother you, I'd say try them. As to the taste, I honestly think that there's a genetic component that some of the ingredients taste one way to one person and another way to another person. For instance, my wife really likes the Sesame Ginger salad dressing.…

Kashi GoLean Crunch. Tastes great and keeps me fueled up all morning, no matter what the day brings.

We'll be making these this weekend... Great find; thanks for sharing!

My wife & I had a Renaissance-themed wedding, and this was one of the pics from it that I really liked.

Glad you've got such a good attitude about this. Bottom line is that in a matter of months, you will no longer be fat. That guy, however, will still be the pathetic loser that he is. You win.
-
My understanding is that it's normally eaten cold (which is what my wife & I did, and we enjoyed it). But I suppose that you could always heat it up if you think you might enjoy it better that way. Actually, another possibility that we came up with was that on days when we know that we'll be running out the door early…

When I first heard this, I thought it HAD to be a joke. Saw a post on Facebook that I think summarized it nicely: "McDonalds as the official restaurant of the Olympics is like smoking being the official medicine of lung cancer..." Not really a perfect analogy, but I think it makes the point.

Made this for the first time over the weekend using a variation of the recipe on this page: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/06/skinny-overnight-oats-in-jar.html We didn't use the banana or stevia, and I replaced the chia seeds with flax seeds (because that's what we had). It was great, and my mind is awhirl with…

Depends what you mean by "results." My overall fitness is a lot better, and I've definitely lost weight. I didn't get super bulked up or shredded, but I think the main problem there is that I've finally reached a point where I need to invest in some heavier weights.
-
Unless you're normally a super heavy lifter, that should be okay. What I used were @ 5kg (if my conversion program is right), but as long as you've got SOME resistance, you should be able to make it work. What you need to do is play the "playlists" on the channel page (there's one for each day). Each day will be 4…

LOL ... Honestly, the warm-ups were the only part that got boring to me. As for the quoting thing, I used that more as a timing aid. When Sam or Grant said something during an exercise I hated, I'd be like, "Oh, good, that line means that we're almost over with this..." ;-) Good luck!

And, Day 90, done! What I plan on doing the next month is a hybrid of the system, as I suggested earlier: Month 3 plyo upper body, followed by Month 1 upper body w/dumbbells, plyo lower body followed by lower body w/dumbbells, etc. This is a terrific program, IMHO!

No, the "danger" I alluded to is that if you are trying to lose weight, something that causes cravings for sweets is a sure-fire way to sabotage yourself right back into an unhealthy lifestyle.
