Yes!!!! It really keeps you honest with your workouts. Polar is the brand you want to buy, they have everything from the low end model that does just heart rate, the mid range which tells calories burned, and the high end that has GPS great for runners. I highly recommend a HRM. I was really suprosed to find that i with…

The FT4 does not work without the strap, some of the higher model do but not this one :)

The watch is only the read out, the sensor that reads your heart rate in is the chest strap. I have the FT4 and it works really well, the chest strap is adjustable so its easy to wear. I can barley feel it when i put it on and after about 5 minutes i dont even notice it. The chest strap is worth it though as it is much…

I try to stay on a budget of $100 a week, for 2 adults, and i like you cook at home and rarley buy meals out. I have a friedn at work who think i spend way too much (he spends $200.month for 2…

i got a small digital kitchen scale for 10$ at walmart, chenged my life, most people really underestimate the ammount they are eating. Also if there are combinations of foods you eat frequently you can create a meal in your tracker then it will always be there. Another tip as most of the entries are made by people here i…

Most alcohol is between 70-90 cal per oz. (shot) Vodka and soda water with lime it good. Personally i prefer red wine. Too bad about the beer the Molson 67 we have in Canada is only 67 cal per. Remember your body will turn alcohol into sugar so try to keep it in moderation :)

I am also on iron supplements, I take them with a huge glass of water then take a vic c tablet. this has been working for me for years and is what my doctor recommended for my friend who has diabetes and cant drink OJ. Make sure you have enough water, iron pills really require a lot more water than you think, this might be…

First off, CONGRATS on the wedding! Second, i agree with the earlier post to just do what you can, some light yoga, or some squats and lunges. Last time i was too sick for the gym I made a little routine that every hour i would do something for 3-5 min. Squats, lunges, wall pushups, and triceps using a free weight. You'll…

Hi everyone, I know everyone says they are honest in their tracking and complain they arent loosing weight, but i really am honest. I plan my meals in advance and i never eat something extra unless i check in the data base first to see what it will do to my daily limits, and what else i may have planned to eat that i have…

Most traditional cereal and bread it out :( If you love bread and cereal make that your big carb for the day, and limit the others you dont enjoy as much. Also remember that a carb is total carb - fiber, so cereals like fiber plus are only 13 carbs. I like to eat this with some crushed fresh raspberries. I really believe…

Thank you toeveryone who has replied, i appreciate your thoughts and opinions. :) Another question..is there a way i can change the "if every day were like today, in 5 weeks....." I'd rather it told me what i should be at now, so then i could judge if what i am doing is working.
