  • This is so helpful. My symptom is the same lump sensation and I too have just started the acid watchers diet. How has it gone for you? I am hoping this will allow me to get off the meds and that I can go back to eating regularly and drinking coffee. Please tell me good news! :)
  • Have you read the book the acid watchers diet. It is really good a d there are tones of food you can still enjoy. I've been doing it for 2 weeks and its had a very big impact on fixing my reflux.
  • Hello, I am a mom of 2, an almost 3 year old and a 10 week old. It was a cesarean delivery and I am finally feeling like I am back to myself, although I have no idea how I will find time to add workouts other than chasing a toddler around...ha ha. My plan is to start with getting my eating habits back on track and then to…
  • I also have a almost 3 year old and a 10 week old newborn and don't know how I will find tine for working out hopefully we can motivate each other:😀
  • My first baby is 3.5 months old. I need to lose 18 lbs. Had success with mfp before and hoping to again.
  • MFP has an option to add breastfeeding into your food diary (search breastfeeding). I add the -300. This allows you to use the MFP setting for the weight you want to lose and to eat the extra calories you need in order to keep yoir milk supply. So far its working for me
  • Hi everyone, I found you after reading your post on baby centre. I've been using this site for many years and had great success. Happy to get back at it after being away. My short term goal is to return to my pre-pregnancy weight of 160 and my long term goal is to reach my 2013 weight of 145. Pre-pregnancy weight 160…
  • I also have plantar fascitis, and it does at times make running and even walking hard, but I have found that a really good pair of insoles help. My exercise of choice is spinning and swimming. Both are great workouts and have little impact. Good Luck~
  • Just to clarify does it sync? Becuase my phone does not pair but it does sync. I was told the device does not need to pair. I have an older phone an S3. For me I just turn on bluetooth. Wait about 30 sec. Open the polar flow app on the phone and then press the button on the loop braclet and it will sbow an arrow circling.…
  • I also recommend the Polar FT4. If you don't need GPS this is the best one IMO. The chest strap is comfortable and after a while you don't notice it. They also have great customer service. My first one's chest strap went after almost a year and they sent me a new one no problems at all. I got mine for about $75 in Canada…
  • Perhaps you are creating the confusion by overthinking it. The key to any program is to stick with it as it was designed. Try the MFP way, its here becasue it works for the majority of people. And by try it I mean actually do it the way its laid out, do not make changes, just log everything, and eat back all the calories…
  • I finished insanity earlier this year. I loved the challenge, but like you was dissapointed that the scale didnt move much. I did however shirnk around the waist and hips and even in my upper thighs. I say go with the measuremesnts, it is so much more important. As long as you are seeing change stick with it. I am so proud…
  • It really depends on the person. I believe that overall you need to eat as clean as you can. Remember that overall many people who have success eliminating anything will eventually have a stumble or two. Personally I have done Atkins and other low carbs and they worked great, until I stopped using them, and sometimes I had…
  • Read the book: The Easy Way to QUit Smoking by Allan Carr. It not only helps you quit and stay quit (over a year for me and my spouce now and we were both 15+ years of smokling) but it also helps with the substituaion of food problem. Book is about 15$ from any bookstore or amazon and is well worth it. Takes about 2 days…
  • Spinning is my go to.
  • bump to try this weekend. Thanks you :)
  • sigh...and some will never....lol my sisiters husband....
  • Most people will no respond to nagging. At 15 he is old enough to be treated like a young adult. Sit him down and without nagging let hi know what portion of the household chores he is responsible for. Give him a weekly list and give him a timeline for it to be completed. For example, by Sunday of each week all floors must…
  • I buy the one from costco, comes in choc or van. I find a lot of the ones on the market are far too sweet for me. This one also blends really well. 120 cal, 29 g protein, 2 carbs, per serving. and only $35.
  • Thanks for the thread, I just got a slow cooker yesterday! Can't wait to use it.
  • Double workout Monday - Spin and Yoga Double workout Tuesday - 5km run and Body Pump! Yayay!!!!
  • First Congrats to all of you who are trying! That is a big accomplishment, and the below is advice only, based on personal experiance and a lot of research. Vapping is still smoking, nicotein is a drug, it is what you are addicted to, not the cigarettes, and even at low levels it is harmful. Do a serach for the Book below…
  • My go to is to bake up a bunch of chicken breats plain. Then you can create a variety of toppings. 1. Pasta sauce and cheese 2. tomatoes, onion garlic, peppers diced like bruchetta 3. Sauteed mushrroms, dijon mustard, and taggagon sauce 4. Curry pasts and a little milk / cream sauce 5. Peanut butter and spicy chili sauce…
  • Please read "The easy way to stop smoking" by allen carr. $15 from chapter or amaozn, this small read in a weekend booklet has helped so may people on this site (and around the world) quit smoking and and not gain weight. It is the exact opposite of anything anyone has ever told you and is not preachy, and this is coming…
  • All i know is that when i cut out sugar (think the first 2 weeks of atkins) that it was worse than quiting smoking! Knowing my body was that addicted to sugar was enough to make me keep it in check. While i dont personally recommend the atkins diet long term, the book was really an eye opener as to the major effects sugar…
  • First of all, good for you for getting onto the right path, knowing what to do can be hard, and you will recieve many different opinions, the improtant thing is to just do a little better each day and remember that it takes a long time to break old habits. Idea 1: Looking at your diary your sugar seems high, also i noticed…
  • Same for me, the only way to be sure is to log what you ate, also handy becasue then you have the recipe in your computer :)
