It did make me laugh - thanks!

I haven't even counted the extra calories I ate after dinner last night but I'm guessing close to 1,000 - and I can't even blame the hormones!!!!

4 x 90-120 minutes including resistance and cardio to maintain with a smaller 5th workout if I'm really concentrating on getting the fat off.

Thanks KHipson - I did start out and cashflow forecast to pay myself a minimal weekly salary but memberships numbers have just never grown (small gym in a country town where very few people seem to understand the need for consistent exercise) so, even with no payment to me, the business can't pay it's own way. I do have a…

I was agreeing with the concept before even noticing the errors!

A date would be a start!

About $50,000 a year more! I own my own business and work at least 70 hours a week but, as it can't afford to pay it's own bills, I haven't been able to get ANY wage for 4-5 months.

In the Northern Tablelands of NSW we topped out at 19 degrees today - I think summer was the second week of November! I can't afford to install air-conditioning in my gym unless business improves about 400% but there's not many days it matters in summer - the frostbitten toes in winter was more concerning!

I'd suggest a low dose B-complex (that includes B12) as several of them have roles in energy conversion (not so sure about boosting metabolism). While B vitamins are water soluble and will flush out of your system within a day (bright yellow pee), be aware that other vitamins are stored in the body so, with over-supply,…

Try this pizza base next time - someone had posted it on MDA and I've used it a few times although I would say it only serves 3 adults. The recipe: Feeds about 4 so plan accordingly! This recipe is high in dairy but for pizza, I will make the exception! Ingredients: Crust: 2 Cups Almond Meal/Flour (I use a bit less Almond…

Well, you've already got me - I've been trialling Primal for a couple of months but the holidays seem to have thrown it a bit. You're doing better than me on the carb curve - I'm lucky to keep it below 150! There are a couple of groups, I joined one today - think you can go to Community, Groups and there's a search feature…

I'm trialling Primal and haven't looked closely at Paleo but believe that, along with 'sensible vices', Primal has a whole lifestyle approach rather than just the nutrition.

Yep - I just give Joanne instead of Roanne, it's a name they'll know and I'll recognise when it gets called out.
-
I don't see it as cheating either - I don't log 'washing the dishes' or regular meal preparation but on a day when I clean the whole house or spend 2 hours making batches of food then that's not part of my regular activity level and is worth logging.
-
I agree with this - I would always err on the side of caution when logging it so walking at a slow pace and then you've got a little extra if it's busier/faster.

Spinach Skordalia/Dip: Blanch a heap of spinach (1kg) Blend with garlic, 1/4 cup lemon juice, walnuts (or alternative) - original recipe also included 1/2 cup wter with 2/3 cup breadcrumbs Drizzle in 1/4 cup olive oil with blender running to emulsify Use with lamb, probably work for beef as well, or as a dip.

Almost no-one's familiar with Roanne (unless they're know it's a town in France, which my parents didn't) so I gave up a long time ago - although getting called Miranda once when I answered an incoming call was a bit much!

I started tracking calories before MFP because I needed to get on top of it but I work really long, boring days and pick at food for something to do then have to find some more calorie burning activities to balance it out - not really the way I should be working it so I think most people would find my food diary puzzling!…

Didn't happen in my business last year but I'm desperately hoping it does this time round - I need to get on top of some outstanding bills! Of course, people maintaining the effort would be extremely helpful as well.

I live alone and work long hours so cleaning the house only gets done every 4-6 weeks (I try to underestimate the amount of time and use the lower intensity) and I do a lot of cooking and food preparation on the weekend, mow lawns, gardening, etc. - I don't do them every day so don't consider them part of my daily activity…

Omelet Muffins - This is the batch I'm currently eating, they made 12 and, of course, nutrient values would vary depending on what meat, etc. you use 6 eggs Onions, Red - Raw, 0.25 cup Mushrooms - Raw, 1 large Vegetable - Capsicum, Red, 60 g Woolworths Australian Pork - Heart Smart Schnitzel, 60g Cal:49, Carbs:1, Fat:…

Ha, I would've assumed she meant soft-boiled, so the yolk is still runny - that's the only time I dipped my toast into eggs as a kid.

Overtraining can impact the immune system.

Always good to check out new ideas from a variety of angles but I hasten to add that you can actually get all the information you need to take action from the Primal Blueprint website without spending a cent. OP - try carb cycling - eat maybe 80-110g carbs (good ones) every 4 days or so.

While we can look at your photos and note the difference, it can take a while to show with so much weight to lose - keep up the great work and one day you will have suddenly gotten to a point where noone can help but notice!

He's obviously not very observant - it's a weakness I'm aware of in myself but otherwise suspect it might be a male thing.

If your pee is totally clear then you probably don't need much more water - pale lemon is apparently the goal.

Yep - I've come to the conclusion I've got a lot of hair follicles and they grow quickly. Shaving my legs results in stubble after about 24 hours and I reckon if I waxed I would still get stubble in about a week. I can understand the cleaniliness aspect, shave under my arms regularly, use a machine to rip hair out by the…
