With my regular workout routine I know I can maintain if I generally eat the usual stuff during the week/workdays and then eat a bit differently/relax without being stupid on the weekends or if I'm socialising. My weight might bump up a bit for first thing Monday morning but it's usually pretty much under control again…

Yep, too many weirdos! Besides, I'm in a country town and it's hard enough to avoid them anyway.

Scrap the crackers (they're processed), try to keep fruit to 2 serves a day, reduce grains (bread, oats, rice) and keep plenty of leafy green vege/salads/sweet potato.

Good on you for realising it's not a good thing!

BODY COMPOSITION, what AdAstra47 said. As you have reduced extra cardio (cycling) and increased strength training, you have probably increased muscle mass and may still have decreased fat mass. 1kg of fat takes up 3-5 times more space than 1kg of muscle! This balancing act can mean the scales don't move but you are…

Take a break, make sure you maintain rather than gain, then get back into it again after a few weeks.

I've been known to knit while chilling out with my partner at the time - meant I was available for conversation if he wanted but also not bored and slowed down the frequency with which I picked up my wine glass!

I'm more inclined to drink green and herbal teas during winter instead of drinking even more coffee just for the warmth but, despite the benefits of green tea, I wouldn't consider it a big impact on weight loss. I think you have to consider that most of the green tea you can get access to may no longer be as effective due…

Oh, just thought of one! Try using it instead of flour to make a basic white sauce? Use that as a base for cheese sauce, etc to put on meals or use in pasta dishes. Realise it's not generally a way to eat it in one got but just an idea.

Depends how many bikkies you get out of it - last night's batch was 22-23 so only 80-85 calories but they are small and it's hard to eat only 1!

The original Chocolate Coconut Biscuit recipe is: 4ozs Butter 3 ozs Sugar 1 cup Coconut 1 cup Flour 2 tablespoons Cocoa 1 teaspoon Baking Powder 2 tablespoons Boiled Water Cream the butter and sugar, mix in the dry ingredients then drizzle in hot water to make a biscuit dough. Bake about 20 mins in moderate (170C) oven.…

I've started using it in biscuits.

I agree - I might 'like' someone's post but don't need to write a comment about it.

I reckon that's what the mirrors are for - look blankly at the mirror pretending you're watching your form while actually checking out talent around you!

Lauren, you would probably achieve your aim of toning up by maintaining (or building a little more) lean muscle mass and reducing your body fat by 2-3% so the muscle tone is more visible - it probably won't take much.

If that's the most accurate of these sort of calculators then I'm thrilled - gave me about 3% lower than any others I've tried!

Make sure you stretch hamstrings, quadriceps, calves and hips/buttocks after each walk. You may also find it helpful to do a couple of stretches after a few minutes of walking if there's somewhere you can pause briefly.

Fitness Industry standard measurement locations are: Chest - at nipple height Waist - at narrowest point/midway between ribs and top of hip bone (females) or navel/belly button (males) Hips - at widest point around backside Thigh - at widest point Calf - at widest point with foot on a bench and muscle relaxed Upper Arm -…

I got caught out a few times before I realised - if entering nutritional information for foods you have to make sure you enter the percentage but the food labels will probably list mg.

Iron is measured as a percentage of recommended daily intake so your target is 100% - same with some other vitamins/minerals.

This is what I do with meal replacements/protein shakes as then I eat it with a spoon and it actually feels like I'm eating rather than just drinking a shake - you can also add fruit like banana or strawberry (depending on shake flavour) or nuts/seeds. When I used Optifast Shakes a few years ago I would have 1 for…

I get them occasionally, including in the oven and there are teethmarks on some of my tupperware lids! I'd suggest poison sachets in the crawl space - some of them make them crave water so they come out to get it and die outside, there are also ones that are not dangerous further along the food chain, eg. won't harm the…

You've taken all the steps to finalise the divorce rather than waiting till someone comes along to give you a reason to do it so I wouldn't consider it a problem. On internet dating I'm always wary of people who are 'separated', I worry they haven't fully dealt with the past.

I always enjoyed working at K-Mart on a public holiday, answering the phone to some dopey voice asking if we were open - Um, NO, they're paying me holiday penalty rates to stand here and answer the phones to idiots like you! It wouldn't bother me if they said, "Oh, just checking you're open today" but "Hello, are you open…

Watch it - mine's on my bedside table to play a relaxation track each night! I also agree with RedheadMommy of the wastage/environment angle.

See if some of these stretching videos give you any ideas, I'd suggest hamstrings, calves, quadriceps, buttocks and hips. http://www.thestretchinghandbook.com/stretching-videos.php Exercise DVD's may sometimes not include enough stretches - you need to hold each stretch for at least 20 (preferably 30) seconds and do them…

Huh, never even occurred to me NOT to wear shoes unless it was a stretch/pilates DVD.

I use herbal teas so I don't go overboard of coffees just for warmth in winter, otherwise my water is generally around room temperature so I'm not drinking something cold.

Geez, I hope not - made a batch of cookies last night only to find out that I was out of gas. Needless to say I ate even more raw dough than normal!
