For anyone wanting more info on Keto I'd suggest checking out MarksDailyApple.com. He's recently written a book called Keto Reset so there have been several really informative blog posts over the past few months that may answer some of the 'nitty-gritty' questions.

Hopefully that works and helps.

Ground Cinnamon Vanilla Essence OR Ground Turmeric 30-45ml Coconut Cream (or dairy cream if preferred but coconut mixes better) Mix to a paste, add 1-2 raw eggs and whisk. Pour in hot coffee, stirring as you go - the coffee won't be hot enough to cook the egg.

Wish I could offer something helpful but I'm afraid I do something similar at the moment. Best wishes.

I believe protein is broken down into amino acids that are then used to build new cells (of all sorts, not just muscle). Although having more/stronger muscles does require more energy even when doing nothing, the difference is minimal throughout the day so shouldn't be relied upon to allow you to eat extra.

This won't address everything in your question, but: - Watch out for confusion between BMI - Body Mass Index and BMR - Base Metabolic Rate - Selection of which body tissues to consume in a calorie deficit is more related to missing nutrients than simply the number of calories. If your body only requires calories, it should…

While I'm definitely no expert and you should probably follow the specialist's instructions, I would be inclined to reduce grains before I reduced salad/vegetable/fruit intake. The bacteria in your digestive tract feed on sugars and fibre and the by-product is gas - this is why reducing fibre would reduce bloating and…

I like yours better than mine: - 2.5 hours in the kitchen before sitting down to breakfast and a coffee - an hour in the sun working on my tan - half-an-hour of weeding - got the washing in to be sorted and put away later - an hour washing the car - another half hour putting mulch on the garden and watering various parts -…

Not so big on the shouting but definately still go out and get drunk at 41!

I was thinking of these as they would also help strengthen your core to support your back in future.

A couple of times recently I've made a creamy turmeric tea using almond milk, got the recipe from here: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/creamy-turmeric-tea/#axzz25qJs27mV Definitely nice for a winter evening.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Serving Size is calculated based on the recommended healthy intake of a particular nutrient (eg. carbs/sugar, fat, sodium) per serving rather than the amount the average person would put in a bowl. And don't get me started on how one single chocolate bar can be more than one…

On a night out you consider dancing to 'Nutbush City Limits' a good chance for a quick hit of cardio

Planks and side planks.

My understanding is that the carbs being almost entirely insoluble fibre means they can't be digested, so net carbs would be carbs-fibre or at least carbs-insoluble fibre. Be warned though, your body may make a lot of gas while trying to digest the insoluble fibre!

Thai Chilli Basil (although will be high in sodium) served on Cauliflower Rice

I've done it on a rowing machine and a treadmill but, as I'm not a runner, I'm not really sprinting on the treadmill - kills me to try it on the elliptical.

This was my immediate first reaction.

Are all the sugar grams coming from the fruit? If so, they're naturally occurring fruit sugars and not to be worried about.

Along these lines for me, passing comments over time as we're all going about our workouts then, perhaps, a bit more of a chat after we've gotten a bit acquianted.

Don't take them at the same time as calcium will reduce iron absorbtion.

Yes - but it's the New England region of northern New South Wales in Australia, I doubt that's where you meant :ohwell:

The almond meal ups the calorie count but I just enter all the ingredients individually - you could save it as a meal after the first time, I should really do that. There are other recipes that only use cauliflower so they're a lot lower but I want to be able to pick the pizza up. I tend to do a whole or half cauliflower…

1 metric cup is 250ml - a normal teacup is probably about right if you don't have a set of measuring cups in the house.

I've cobbled together 2 different recipes and find this works for one but is even better if you scale up slightly larger on the 'dry' ingredients and can just about serve 2 people: 1/4 cup Cauliflower Rice 1/3 cup Almond Meal Oregano or other pizza herbs Garlic Powder or Garlic Salt if desired 1 Egg or 2 Egg Whites 1/4-1/2…

The unsweetened Blue Diamond Almond Milk is very plain and could be considered a bit watery when you're not used to it. You can easily use it in cereal/porridge and I've used it with Chai Syrup to make a drink for a friend who said it tasted fine. It would probably be fine in an instant coffee - once you adjust to the…

The Gabriel Method has some interesting aspects and generally ties in well with Primal/Paleo. If you like the ideas behind Primal Blueprint you might like The Paleo Diet, although I believe it's more rigid and doesn't include the more rounded lifestyle aspects.
