  • Homemade acai bowl (much less calories and sugar than from jamba juice or other smoothie places). 1. 1 Sambazon pur acai frozen pack (this one is low sugar) 2. 1/2 banana 3. 1/4 cup cold water 4. Put in blender 5. Top with 1/2 cup kashi crunch (also low sugar) 6. Add a few fresh berries (I like black berries) So filling!…
  • Thanks for the info. What are compound lifts?
  • I agree, dont be with a guy that says that.
  • Acai bowl for breakfast (homemade, with a little granola, blackberries, nd banana) under 300 calories for game: veggie chili, fruit salad, hummus and baked pita chips, lite ranch with celery and cucumbers, staying away from the wings
  • Exactly this for me, but my pants are most Lucy and one pair of lulu that are great for biking
  • Great! I love this DVD. Pointer 1. You may want to do a few more minutes of a warm up before you start the video, her warm-up is short, something like a brisk 10 min walk would be great if possible 2. Do a much longer cool down then the video has 3. I started with 3lb weights 4. Not sure if you are planning 30 days…
  • I would not take off 2 days a week. To me rest means not doing the same workout day after day. I also took only 2 days off in January. My "rest" days instead are a day when I do just a brisk 45 min -1 hour walk. I don't run everyday due to my knee, I do Jillian michaels DVDs 3 days a week (strength, 30-40 mins), running 3…
  • I see some great things such as lots of veggies and fruit. I would increase portions, add more nut to get some more calories. Maybe add avocado to your tacos. Drink water, stay away from fast food places. Good luck :)
  • Yes!!!! The food really matters. It is tempting with MFP at first to just focus on calories but you also want to have good health (now and down the line), good energy, mental focus, and nice skin right? If you eat more real whole healthy foods you will feel more full with less calories as well. Today I ate lots of fruits…
  • I agree, I'm 5'3" and happy at 115. Just working on toning. 110 was my weight in college and I didn't like it.
  • Here is what I have been trying to get more veggies in my diet: 1. Try adding a scoop of Amazing Grass green superfood powder to a fruit smoothie (adding a frozen banana and water makes it quite tasty, but frozen mixed berries are great as well). I got mine at whole foods. 2. Buy chopped frozen veggies and mix them in an…
  • #3! Yes I agree that #1 looks great on but I would save it for something else, not a work event. Have fun!
  • These are not the only options! OUTDOORS! I live in socal so of course I prefer being outside (I don't understand why anyone here goes to the gym just to get on a treadmil!). I love outdoors for running, fast-paced walks, hikes, rollerblading, swimming, and biking. I also really like working out at home with my Jillian…
  • This is why I am trying to switch to coconut oil, can be used for high heat cooking, but I can never find it at the grocery store. Any tips?
  • Wow! THat is not a tiny victory, that is great!!!! You have inspired me!
  • I agree, my protein powder is whey protein (from milk). You won't get bulky unless you are male or taking illegal drugs. I agree that is will make you slimmer not bulky!

  • I agree it is not bad to go over, but please make sure it is lean protein! Limit red meat. You probably know the deal as far as healthy protein sources but here goes: fish, eggs, beans, greek yogurt, chicken, nuts :)
  • Too much cholesterol there and I agree, not enough veggies, try something like this: Breakfast 8am: 8oz chilled water with lemon and mint Smoothie-1/4 scoop Jay Rob Whey Protein Powder, 1/2 cup mixed berries (blue, black, ras), 1 scoop Amazing Grass Green Superfood powder (wheat grass, spiraling, alpha alpha and more), 1/2…
  • Awww, Im sorry to hear that, I would be crying too :(
  • Forgot to include times for all meals and beverages: Breakfast 8am: 4oz chilled water followed by 8oz chilled water with lemon and mint Smoothie-1/4 scoop Jay Rob Whey Protein Powder, 1/2 cup mixed berries (blue, black, ras), 1 scoop Amazing Grass Green Superfood powder (wheat grass, spiraling, alpha alpha and more), 1/2…
  • Hard to say since it stops when you walk. I would go to the doctor. I had knee pain when I was running every day so I had to switch to a few times a week, wear a knee guard, eat more anti inflammatory foods (papaya), heat before running, and ice after running. I also changed shoes, some running stores analyze how you run…
  • I think 30DS is harder because I understand the moves better so I can do them really well. I also think level 1 of Ripped is pretty easy. Here are her videos in order of which is in highest rotation for me and my thoughts. What about you all? 30 day shred , ripped in 30, and extreme shed are pretty similar (the last one…
  • Get them all! They are great, weights 3-5lbs and a mat are all you need. Oh, and good music once you ge tthe hang of it, the music on her dvd's is not good. Here are her videos in order of which is in highest rotation for me and my thoughts. What about you all? 30 day shred , ripped in 30, and extreme shed are pretty…
  • I would say that 30 Day Shred was the best because I really understand the moves and have done them in settings where a coach showed me how to do them correctly. I actually still feel the most sore on days when I do 30 Day Shred level 1 because I can do it well. Extreme Shed and Shred has 2 parts. She asks you to consider…
  • I have and enjoy a lot of her videos: 30 day shred, ripped in 30, and extreme shed are pretty similar (the last one being a bit longer) and my favorites. The have the mix of cardio, strength, abs NMTZ is great for days that I don't do cardio. It is really hard but I just do 25 minutes at a time. It is intense strength…
  • Get a Jillian Michael's DVD. No More Trouble Zones sounds perfect for the days you aren't doing cardio. It is hard at first if you have never done it. Even 30 Day Shred may be a good place to start.
