  • Great idea! I think I will plug an ideal day see what happens :)
  • I bought Body Revolution and would tell you to save your money. I like doing 30 day shred, No More Trouble Zones, Killer Buns and Thighs, Ripped in 30.
  • Great post! Cereal and Orange juice were the biggest changes for me since childhood assumptions.
  • Running! I also enjoy rollerblading a lot, biking is probably my 3rd favorite.
  • This was so true for me! I wouldn't even notice till I tried to put on my work pants in September after wearing dresses all summer and they would be so tight! But this summer I have been using the extra time to workout out more and make more healthy meals. I feel you though!
  • So far I have not really worked out while fasting. Yesterday I went for a 15 minute walk after iftar. Today I did 10 minutes of a cardio dvd around midnight. I do miss working out, but I have no energy at all while fasting. From today onward I plan to do a 30 minute walk after iftan and a 30 minute Jillian Michaels video…
  • Salam, my name is Mediha. I'm in California. I have been using MFP for a while. I started using it diligently in December, and have lost 14 pounds. I enjoy running, biking, and rollerblading to workout. I also use Jillian Michael's DVD's. I especially like No More Trouble Zones. Getting ready to start fasting Friday :)
  • For seheri I usually have: 1. apple or pear 2. oatmeal 3. protein smoothie with fruit 4. two glasses water For iftar: 1. two glasses water 2. fruit chaat (fruit salad with salt pepper ans chili powder) For dinner: depends (chicken, rice, salad) Avoid anything fried or unhealthy otherwise. Have a great Ramadan!
  • I don't plan on using mfp while fasting. I will usually go for a long walk right before or after breaking my fast. Last year I did a little biking a few times, but in the heat it is difficult. I am at a healthy weight so I want to focus more on saying my prayers than logging food on mfp. Have a great ramadan everyone.

  • Someone told me that the motivation comes AFTER the results. At first you just have to force yourself to do it. Even a 30 minture dvd (which can be done without having to worry about leaving the kids). Once you see results, you will feel motivate. Hope that helps.
  • I agree, longer shorts. Don't worry as you lose weight this will stop and you can go back to shorter shorts.
  • I have been doing mornin lately. 1. cooler weather 2. i love starting the day and being active 3. helps me make better choices all day long
  • Great job! Your before was not horrendous. Your after is fantastic. Keep up the great work! I love Body Revolution
  • I agree with the person who said to try to avoid foundation. I have tried so many I did like the look of Nars sheer glow the most, Mac Studio Select liquid as well, but I am now focused on improving my skin instead. 1. Eating more fruit and veggies, less unhealthy foods 2. Drinking more water 3. Working out 4. Using…
  • I noticed it starts when I was maybe 22 and thin. I am 30 now, it is almost gone, there is hope! Weight training helps a lot, eating more berries and veggies, avoiding fried foods, avoiding sugary drinks and foods, and LUNGES and SQUATS have made a big impact. I also agee about the water. I also run and bike.
  • Thanks again for the feedback, and of=off!

  • Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear others didn't like 5 and 6, maybe I'll try the next ones later and be motivated, or as others said, pick and choose pieces mixed with other things that work for me.

  • I'm trying to do this myself. I watched Food Matters and Fat Sick and Nearly Dead this month, Forks Over Knives last month. I purchase organic, am trying to get a lot more veggies into my diet, but have not been as dedicated to this as I feel I should be. My goal right now is to eat more high-nutrient foods as well as…
  • I was also doing a good job since about December (had been on before that but not daily). I was starting to get a bit burned out on logging everything, but whenver I feel that I way I go to the Succes Stories and see pictures that motivate me!
  • This is what has helped me (I think): 1. Washing with a gentle cleanser (as many said, I did the harsh acne washes in the past). I use Purpose face wash and try to only wash 2 times a day 2. Witch Hazel toner! Made a huge difference, 1time a day and Alpha hydroxy acid every other night ( I got it from Acne.org), helps with…

  • Hmmm, I wish I could say I was that good at keeping secrets, but I can't think of one! The person below me ate a salad today!
  • Yes! Biking is great fun and burns calories! I have a Specialized Hybrid which I love. I agree with the tip to check Craigslist. Getting in a few hills will give you the effect of high intensity intervals that burns more calories. It is so fun! Rollerblading is another fun one for summer :)
  • Typically: 2-4 days a week strength: Jillian Michaels Body Revolution 2-3 days a week: 3 mile jog 2 days a week: biking I hate gyms. Some days I do 2 different workouts, I rest once a week or once every two weeks. I go for 1 hour walks as well about once a week but don't really see that as a workout.
  • I love Runtastic
  • Saucony are my favorites! Any others have caused my knee pain to act up.
  • Thanks again for all the advice everyone. I have tried pilates in the past but my neck would always hurt. My plan is to: 1. Try to have more lean protein (I do have protein shakes for breakfast or post workout sometimes but will try to do this more) 2. Avoid sugar/white carbs 3. Get focused with my Jillian Michaels Body…
