  • I always skip the fit test. I did it my first go round now I just want to sweat :-) Sounds like you are all doing great.
  • Amazing transformation! Shows everyone it can be done. Congrats on the hard work and payoff.
  • I am starting my second round of insanity today. I loved it and and got great results. Will definately follow this thread to see how everybody does. Keep in mind it is tough, but you only have to do what you can do. If you need a break hit pause. A heart rate monitor is a must. Good Luck!!
  • I have done a few cleanses and feel they do help with getting the "evil" out of your system. Your plan looks good. I am sure you will do great!!
  • Well gonna get back to it today while I am waiting for hurricane Irene to visit. Hopefully I won't lose power or I won't be able to use my Insanity DVDs
  • I don't think any of them out there really work. I experimented with them in my early years and found the only ones which sort of worked were the ones which had Ephedrine which is now outlawed in the USA because of abuse. Lifestyle changes are better. Getting fit is not easy and there is no magic pill.
  • Super impressed! Keep up the good work.
  • Everyone has days like that. If you can work up a good sweat usually makes me feel better. You never look as bad to everyone else as you feel. We're our own worse critics

  • I don't really trust any of the calorie counts. So long as I get my daily activity I am happy.
  • Good idea! I love more motivation.
  • I don't eat too much until dinner but drink a lot of water, coffee, tea, etc. After my workout I am usually down as I sweat a lot. Do you workout morning or night? I figure I lose most of any water bloat during my workout.
  • It depends a lot on your individual body. Have you tried wearing a heart rate monitor? that would give you an accurate count.
  • Love to see people get to the finish line. Congrats on all the hard work paying off.
  • I got sick of the weight creep. I always thought I had it under control but then realized I could not take it off as easily as I could when I was younger. Memorial day was my turning point when I stepped on the scale and saw that I had gained about 20 pounds. I decided it was time to get serious and treat my body better.
  • You guys must be talking about the documentary "Fat, Sick, and Almost Dead". It is really inspirational and gives you a good look at how Americans and the rest of the world eat so poorly. I do some juicing to supplement my diet because i don't think you can get the nutrients your body needs through regular eating. If you…
  • I don't think any of those scales really work and if they seem to they are not accurate. I use the Zone method for calculating body fat. Do the measurements requirements and it is pretty darn accurate. I have posted the link below. YOu do need to register to use the link but it is free and there is some other good…
  • I have taken days off on the weekend in terms of restricting calories but still try to log what I eat. When I get to my maintenance phase I will most likely take Saturdays off, and try to go back to eating some of my favorite foods that I have cut out for now.
  • Interesting enough the zonediet tools say the ideal male is about 15% bodyfat and ideal female is 22%. Guess I still have a lot of work to do ;-)
  • I have been a Zone guy for a long time and their website has the best bodyfat tools I have ever found. You have to register to use it but it is free. http://www.zonediet.com/tools/body-fat-calculator
  • I am just finishing up Insanity right now and am looking to add some resistance training. I have bought the P90X program and am thinking of doing a hybrid Insanity/P90X program to try to get the benefits of both. There are a lot days where I have a hard time getting through this second month of Insanity but you just have…
  • I don't mind exceeding my protein so long as it is lean, and I am within my overall calorie goal. I like to keep my protein high to help recover from my workouts.
  • I know it would be better to eat a big meal at lunch but because of work dinner is my biggest meal and bulk of my calories. For breakfast I do Greek yogurt and a piece of fruit with Tea. Lunch is almost always a Greens+ Protein bar. I wish I could eat real food for lunch but Greens+ bars seem like a good relatively organic…
  • It is scary how most of the those meals exceed any reasonable calorie total for an entire day. No wonder Americans are so fat. I hate it when restaurants make menu items which people would think are low cal and load hem with fat. I really think there should be a law where every restaurant should have nutritional…
  • I think MFP is a little cookie cutter with the calories, but having said that I am on 1200 a day. I started out at 1300 but when I lost 15 lbs MFP adjusted my calories down. I do work out daily and that give me an extra 500 - 600 calories I can eat. I try to eat my exercise calories because MFP has already calculated a…

  • I am just starting to feel a lot better about myself now. I am not sure what my goal weight will ultimately be but I am sort of hoping my body will tell me when I am there. Of course my goal is to have more than one ab, but will see how close I get to that.
  • I try to not have anything in the house that I will feel bad about eating. Go to the store and figure out what would be a treat you can live with. I have a 2.5 yr old daughter so have to have some sweets around for her but I try to get her things that i don't like so I won't be tempted.

  • One of my favorite low guilt treats is Frozen Wylders Blueberries dusted with some stevia and then cover with skim milk. It sort of makes a sweet frozen yogurt type substance, and does the trick for my sweet tooth.
  • I way everything which is not prepackaged, wear a HR monitor. It does get a little obsessive but it is the only way i can stay connected with what I am putting in my body.
  • I had always had good control over my weight then realized it was gone. Had always been within a 160 to 165 range but the creep caught up with me and my range started to grow. Memorial day I weighed in at 188 and said this has got to stop. Downloaded myfitnesspal and bought the Insanity workout and have not looked back.
  • Mmmm . . . Pizza and Doritos and maybe some Cheetos. Anything bad for you with cheese
