very inspiring ladies! Thank you for sharing! I have gained weight since being on maintenance, but also have been lifting (P90x and Chalean).

I would not be so critical of yourself-- yes it sounds like you can eat more which is great. What amazing results to have lost so much body fat. Terrific!

great to hear the progress. I started insanity to overlap with my last P90x month, so I am doing Insanity 5-6 times a week and the P90x strength. I love mixing it up. Although I don't get to say I did the program as it was mean to be!

I'm 6 weeks in... I do the 3 strength workouts and plyo per week. I do my own cardio to supplement and skip yoga and usually kempo. 6 more weeks to go!

I started P90x after Chalean and am half way done. Different style than Chalean, more reps, but more strength than cardio (I hear Insanity is more cardio). I would love ideas too!

I thought that Push was fun, to see how much I could lift, and I thought Lean was a little awkward at first. Since starting P90x, I have tossed in some ChaLean, doing each of the Burn and Push workouts, and 2 of the Lean ones (each just once throughout the 5 weeks so far). They definitely feel short compared to P90x, less…

interesting! could you just use the angel food cake box only?

I recently had the same shock. I have cut down my table salt use, incredibly I never logged the table salt but was still over. I bought reduced sodium salt and soy sauce for cooking. I would like these tips as well!

I love the idea of an extended push phase! My next time around, I am not sure what I will do yet. Alternating weeks w/ each phase seems like a good idea too!

I started officially this week, but have tried most of the workouts while doing ChaLean Extreme over the past 3 mo. This week I have done Chest and Back, Plyo, and Kempo. I plan to stick with 3 strength training workouts per week. I am not planning on doing yoga or taking rest days but plan on my own cardio those days. I…

It has much less work in terms of arms, but is a great cardio work out!

this is helpful -- thank you for posting!

I have started to try out the P90x workouts while I finish ChaLean Extreme. I was wondering if anyone can make recommendations on resistance bands to use instead of the pull up bar. I don't have a place to put the bar in my basement where I work out. If so, I'd love to hear what brands you have found to be good quality.…

Excellent question, bump

get up and do it first thing before you start talking yourself out of it

Since you did all of these programs, what advice do you have for people picking between them? I am 2/3 done with ChaLean Extreme, have P90x but didn't start it. Does it make sense to follow ChaLean with P90x? I mix in extra cardio with Jillian, Bob Harper, running, etc. Would love your thoughts after the programs you tried!

I bought mine used on Amazon-- came in great condition. I am using dumb bells, and don't have the bands. The only thing missing was the calendar which you can google on line. I also bought p90x used from Amazon - also in great condition. The new sets are so expensive!

I agree-- they are excellent and he is motivating and makes it fun. I have total body transformation, inside out strength, and ultimate cardio and inside out cardio-- all very good. I have a lot of Jillian's also, some that I still use regularly. I am doing ChaLean Extreme now for more strength, but add in Jillian or Bob…

I am half way through the Push phase. I have dumbells up to 25 lbs. for this month I have been using 10, 15, 20, 25. I looked into the adjustable ones to get weights in between those, but they are very expensive. These work pretty well for this, and I don't consider myself strong and I am relatively new to using heavier…

There are some processed carbs that I cannot eat in moderation. I am better off without them at all. But I do allow for substitutes that don't trigger the same problems. I don't think the problem is just psychological.

Interesting... I have only a couple workouts left on the burn phase. I feel stronger but have definitely not lost. Maybe gained 2 lbs! I plan to continue and see how it goes, but I am not making this my only exercise, as I add cardio.

thanks for sharing how you feel-- its so much harder when you don't feel good about yourself. I respect you for having the courage to vent here, and I think a lot of the posters have made very helpful comments that I will come back and read again! you are in good company with how you are feeling.
