I'm netting 1150-1200 cals a day. I set my goal to 0.5 lb a week, which increased my intake to 1450-1500 cals on workout days. I rarely go hungry now that I'm eating back my exercise calories. Sure, my weight loss is slow, but it's expected when you don't have much to lose. I'd rather lose weight slowly and feel full while…

Good thread! Here's mine: 1. Stop postponing workouts, just do them! It takes me an hour to psyche myself up for my workout. 2. Exercise 5x a week 3. Less negative thoughts, more positive affirmations. 4. Find ways to get more calcium in my diet. I'm always under the recommended calcium requirement. 5. Be happy with any…

Yes, eat back your exercise calories. You're probably eating too little for the exercise you're doing.

I wholeheartedly agree-- I don't understand why certain users complain about what the rest are doing. Focus on yourself, not on others. If they ask for criticism, give it. Otherwise keep your comments to yourself.

Yes, I love having the freedom to eat more. I don't care if it takes me 5 months or 7 months, because there is no finish line. I still have to be mindful of what I eat and keep my workout routine going to maintain that new weight.

another good one.. record speeches, or vocab, and listed to it while you work out! Great tip, I never thought of that.

Honestly, I don't care what other people are putting into their mouths. I'm focused on me- not what other people are doing. I offer support and encouragement (not criticism, unless they ask for my opinion), regardless if their food choices fits my definition of healthy or not.

Old thread, but useful info. I'm a firm believer in positive affirmations, weight loss related or not.

The closer I get to my goal weight the smaller my deficit becomes. I have 11 lbs left to go, and I eat back most (if not all) of my exercise calories. If I don't, I go hungry and my body shuts down. My weight loss is slow (only 0.5/0.6 lb a week) but I see the inches coming off which is more important to me.

I love milk in my oatmeal. Sigh, but I'll probably have give it up because it's not worth the consequences. I've been clear for a year+ and suddenly out of nowhere I've been getting pustules left and right along my jawline. The only thing I added in my diet was milk.

@ tchristine24 Holy crap, how do you manage that?
-
I try to eat all of my exercise calories. If I dont, I end up hungry. I prefer having a smaller deficit and my body thanks me for it.

I echo the same sentiments as everyone else. I was looking at your pictures before and the first thing that came to my mind was, " Wow she has a nice perky butt".

Yes, I always gain 2/3 lb a few days before TOM. I lose it just as quickly when it's over, and then some.

I eat most (if not all) of my exercise calories and lose 0.5/0.6 lb a week.

LMAO

I do, but sometimes I'm a few calories under. I try to eat most or all of my exercise calories, because if I don't I go hungry. Simple as that. I can't function on 1200 calories.

I suspected I had an iron deficiency because my hair would always fall out in clumps when I wash or run my fingers through it. After taking a multivitamin, my hair stopped falling out completely.

I'm like an energizer bunny the moment I wake up, it's crazy. I'm up before anyone else. Just found it weird, because I'm usually the last person to wake up in our household. I remember sleeping through my alarms so many times.

I practice everything in moderation. If I want ice cream , I'll allow myself one serving and account for the calories. And no substitutes don't do it for me, I want the real thing goddammit. Same with pizza or pasta. I want to eat in a way that I can sustain for a long time, not for 5 months or two years, but forever. I…

I make my breakfast my biggest meal of the day. I usually have a serving of oatmeal with fruits mixed in (bananas, strawberries, blueberries etc.) I also add a tbsp of peanut butter to give it some extra flavor. Sometimes I add a boiled egg  It ends up being a 500 calorie breakfast, which isn't a bad thing since it…

I too also find it hard to believe that they can be full eating 500/900 calories. I'd feel deprived if I had to eat what they eat. I have a few friends who are pretty much on low calorie diets and there's little variety with their food choices.

Yesterday I weighed myself before going to the washroom to *cough* and I weighed 120 lb. Afterward, I weighed myself again and it said 117.4 lb

As long as there's a downward trend, don't worry about it. Every loss, large or small, gets you one step closer to your goal.
-
My weight loss is erratic. There are weeks when I lose more, weeks when I lose little, and weeks when I don't lose anything at all.
-
I take mine with breakfast, since it's my the biggest meal of the day. I remember taking a multivitamin on an empty stomach when I first got it , and felt nauseous afterward.
-
It took me 6/7 months to lose 16 lbs. It was such a slow process that no one noticed I've lost weight.

I tried sticking to only 1200 calories on rest days (as MFP suggested) and I was starving. I had to increase my intake to 1400 calories so I didn't feel deprived. It's interesting how everyone's caloric intake varies so much. I also make sure that I eat back most (if not all) of my exercise calories.
