Anyone still doing Turbo Jam?
It's so addictive. Turbo Jam is the only dvd workout that I can do everyday without getting bored. It doesn't even feel like exercise because I'm having so much fun and by the end of the workout my shirt is drenched in sweat. Also the fact that I'm burning just as much calories (sometimes more) in one cardio party session…

Does splenda cause gas?
Uhh yeah... I have been having trouble with flatulence since I started using Splenda. It is so embarrassing since it's the kind you can't hold in :blushing: Would it make any difference if I switch to Stevia?

Is your family/relatives supportive of your weight loss?
I'm the only one in my family who exercise regularly and watch what I eat. My father and my two siblings are blessed with a high metabolism and do not have to workout to stay shapely. Whereas my mother and I have a slower metabolism and gain weight easily. In general, my family members are indifferent to my weight loss…

Three weeks in at cut- Before and After Picture
I started EMTWL on August 6. I went from eating 1300-1400 calories to 1500-1600 calories. I am of short stature so this seemed like a lot of calories to me. My weight has gone up and down the same 1-2 lbs since I started EMTWL. I'm not even surprised at seeing the numbers on the scale go up one week and down the next week.…

Netting 1200 cals- Is it absolutely necessary?
Do you really have to NET 1200 calories? My stats are posted below my signature. I always make sure that I never go under 1200 calories on any given day. I do use a different site to track calories, since I find it more convenient. Anyway, I typically burn 300-400 calories per workout and only eat half of that back (giving…

Always low on protein
My protein intake ranges from 60-80g, sometimes more but those days are rare . I want to eat the ideal amount that MFP calculated for me which is 118g. I am already eating 1600 calories a day and still coming up short on protein. I want to add a protein shake into my diet to make up for the lack of protein in my meals.…

Jillian Michaels 30 days Shred-
Anyone else here doing it or have done it before? I'm currently doing Jillian Michaels' 30 days Shred (finishing week 1), and the workout ended up being better than what expected. At first glance, I thought to myself: “The workout is only 27 minutes long and does not look that difficult. I wonder if it will be effective,”…

In Place of a Road Map
I know I am not the only one who gets intimidated "eating back exercise calories." I always ended up eating below the allowance number, thinking less was better. However, ever since I started a new workout program, I noticed that I often felt hungry on a 1300-1400 calorie a day intake. This amount was fine when I was…

Anyone else break out when they drink milk?
I get those under the skin bumps that turn into pustules whenever I drink milk, usually the next day. Once I stopped drinking skim milk, I stopped breaking out along my jaw line.

New fan of Leslie Sansone!
I just finished her 5 mile Fat Burning Walk and burned 400 calories. I completely underestimated her workout and thought it would be a snore fest. I'm so glad that I was proven wrong. It was very enjoyable and the hour went by so quickly. With my mp3 player it heightened the experience to a whole new level. It might be too…

I've come to the realization that even when I reach my goal weight my body will still remain a pear (just smaller) :grumble: So my question is, what type of clothes flatter our figure the best?

Full time college/uni students: How often do you workout?
I'm not sure if working out 6 days week is sustainable, especially with my schedule. Do you get your workout done first thing in the morning or after you get home?

Is 8 hours of sleep necessary?
I've been functioning on 5-6 hours of sleep a night. I always feel tired when I exceed 8 hours of sleep. Yet, I keep hearing (from friends and family) that 8 hours of sleep is required for optimal health.

Anyone else set their weight loss rate at 0.5 lb a week?
At this rate it will take me approx 5 months to reach my goal weight  How about you?

Are you hungrier on the days you don't exercise?
I am  On workout days I find that I'm not that hungry and sometimes have trouble hitting my calorie limit. I remember burning a crazy amount of calories doing one of Chalene's HIIT workouts (I was extra motivated that day) and had trouble eating back some of my exercise calories. Does anyone face a similar problem?

High Calorie Burn: If you are under a hundred calories of re
reaching the1200 net threshold, do you force yourself to eat the remaining calories? It's my fault for exercising so late, but I took a nap and didn't wake up until 8 pm. I got my workout in and ended up burning more calories than normal. What do you do on days like these?

Shorties: does being short equal eating less than the minimu
I looked at a few diaries and noticed those who are shorter in height tend to eat less than the minimum standard of 1200 calories. Sometimes only averaging 700/900 calories. I know it's not my place to judge other people, because frankly it's none of my business, but I can't understand how they're able to function/sleep at…

Does anyone else not keep track of their sugar intake (ones
I usually eat 3 to 4 servings of fruits, which spikes my sugar intake by a lot. By the end of the day, I end up consuming 80 to 100 grams of sugar (all of which are coming from fruits). It hasn't affected my weight loss, but I wonder if it will be detrimental in the long run. Should I be worried?

Dumb question: Do you log artificial sweeteners?
According to the nutritional info on the side of the box, a packet of SugarTwin contains zero calories. That sounds too good to be true. I'm sure has 5 calories, like Splenda. For those who use artificial sweeteners, do you bother logging it into your food log? or forget about it?

College/ University Full-time Students: how do you do it?
My fall semester schedule is likely going to be very busy, I have classes and internship all semester. Half the day will be spent in college and the other on work placement. I also commute to/from campus by bus, so it would be difficult to get my workout in in the afternoon (which I've been doing since break). I'm afraid…

What's your go-to breakfast food?

Anyone had to up their cal intake after starting a new worko
There's no way I can eat less than 1400 calories since starting Turbo Fire. Anything less leaves me hungry and fatigued. I didn't even realize the correlation until I looked back at my workout log. And then it hit me. I wasn't eating enough for the amount of exercise I was doing, which would explain the low-energy and…

Does eating out equal not eating the rest of the day?
My family and I are going to a chinese buffet after an event. The last time I've been to one was when I was 7 years old. I know I should just enjoy myself and not care about counting calories, but I don't want to forsake accountability. I usually have a 500 calorie breakfast, but today I'm thinking of just having oatmeal…
