  • Thanks everyone. I just find it a bit concerning that a couple of users are only taking in 400/500 calories a day. Maybe they're not being honest about their logging...who knows? I do believe that 400/500 calories is too low, even for short people.
  • I was actually against the idea of eating back exercise calories at first, because it seemed counter-productive. I didn't think I was eating back my exercise calories (since I'm using a different site to keep track of my food intake) until I plugged a week's worth of food into MFP tracker. It seems that I actually eat most…
  • Yes, I still log. If I don't know the calorie content of the foods I will be eating, I try to provide an estimate to keep myself accountable. That way when my scale displays a weight gain (real or water weight) I know it's from the excess food that I've eaten that day.
  • It looks appetizing to me  However, I wouldn't eat one just because of the calorie content, it would put be above my calorie limit for the day.
  • I mostly stick to fruits (bananas, strawberries, and blueberries). If I want a treat, I will put a tbsp of peanut butter and a dash of artificial sweetener in my oatmeal. That combo usually takes care of any sweet cravings I might be having.
  • I tried eating my BMR calories on rest days and couldn't do it. I felt so hungry and wanted to eat everything in sight. On workout days I usually consume 1400/1500 calories (sometimes more depending on the amount of calories burnt from exercise). My body seem to be most comfortable with 1400/1500 calories, regardless if…
  • Don't worry, we all have days when we go over our cal limit. Put it behind you and start anew. 3 weeks ago I binged on chocolate/chips and went over my cal limit by 2,000 cals. Did I feel guilty afterward? Yes, but I just remind myself that one day of binging won't undo all my hard work. However, it's best to identify the…
  • Thanks everyone. I decided to log it, because of the carb content. Granted, it's not a lot, but it does add up.
  • My mom keeps telling me that 'young' women don't need to take any supplements, only older folks. The thing is I'm always low on iron, calcium, and potassium.
  • I'm 5'1" and my goal weight is 105. I'm satisfied with my current weight, but I feel I can lose a few more pounds. I don't think that number is too low, given my height and build.
  • I always gain 3-5 lbs a week before Aunt Flo comes to visit, it's so annoying. I also notice that I crave sweets and salty snacks during my TOM. The craving is always there, but it's exponentially worse when it's that time of the month.
  • Ah, I see. When would be the right time to lower my weight loss goal to 0.5 lb a week? Right now, I'm losing 0.7-0.8 lb per week. Is that too much given that I don't have much to lose?
  • I'm 5'1" and my goal weight is 105. I'm 11 lbs away from my goal, and it's such a slow process. Right now, I'm averaging a 0.5 lb loss a week, sometimes even less or nothing at all. Good luck everyone! Our height is definitely a disadvantage, since we have to account for every calorie. Compared to our taller counterparts,…
  • I'm 5'1" and my ideal weight is 105. My body's happy weight is between 115-117 lbs. I don't have much trouble maintaining at that weight. There are weeks when the scale doesn't show any loss even when I had a reasonable deficit. Other weeks it shows a 0.5 lb loss. It's such a slow process, sometimes I wonder if it's worth…
  • I know this is a old thread, but I found it to be most helpful. Sometimes we get too hung up on the numbers on the scale and what we see in the mirror that we fail to focus on all the other benefits that exercise provide. It could be as simple as running up and down the stairs without getting winded. It's important to…
  • Sorry for being MIA. I haven't been myself the last few days. I actually binged two days ago for reason I've yet to figure out. My mood has been like a roller-coaster, full of highs and lows. The good news out of all of this is that I didn't skip any of my workouts and followed the schedule as outlined. I'm going to dub…
  • I'm 5'1" and working on the last 11 lbs. Feel free to add me.
  • I did Fire 55 EZ today-burned 544 cals. I hate this workout with a passion so I bumped it to Monday. Glad I got it over with. I've been in a crabby mood since yesterday and I can't say I notice any improvement after I got my workout in.
  • Skipping today's workout. My body is telling me it needs a break. I'm so exhausted that I slept from 12 to 8 pm. It was supposed to be a short power nap.
  • Thank you! Finished Core 20 & Stretch 40 (yawn). You should definitely take pictures and measurements (Need to do this, but I'm so lazy). If I hadn't taken any pictures, I would have said that I don't look any different. The pictures help me see that I'm losing inches, even if my weight is at a standstill
  • Weighed-in today and lost 0.6 lbs. Schedule for today is Core 20 & Stretch 40 (loathe this class so much). By the way, I updated my picture log and included week 2 (click on the link below to see the picture): http://usera.ImageCave.com/PeachesPie/TurboFireWeeklyPictorial02.png.jpg
  • I just weighed in this morning and I've lost 0.6 lbs. I was hesitant to increase my intake in fear of gaining weight, but the opposite thing happened. I'm so amazed and a bit confused. How is this possible?
  • Just completed Fire 45 EZ & Stretch 10. I was sweating throughout the whole workout. I need to buy a bandana so the sweat doesn't get into my eyes. It takes me out of my zone when I constantly have to wipe the sweat off my face.
  • Given my height (5'1") I was afraid that upping my cal intake would work against me. But it wound up being a benefit because now I have more energy. And I'm still losing despite the calorie increase.
  • Definitely going to buy a set. Thanks for sharing. The one I bought from walmart is so flimsy. I'm afraid that it'll come apart during my one of my workouts.
  • I'm still losing, albeit a small amount. Only reporting 0.5-0.6 lb loss a week instead of the usual 0.8 lb. Probably has something to do with me bringing my deficit down. Since increasing my cal intake to 1500-1600 the hunger pangs and tiredness have gone away. And yes, I wear a HRM when I workout.
  • Just did HIIT 15 & Tone 30! Burned 345 cals. I'm going to feel it tomorrow morning. I just know it.
  • You're totally fine, I wouldn't even worry about it. I went to a chinese buffet 5 days ago and let me tell you I did not have anything on my plate that wasn't fried or smothered in sauce. I even had two big slices of chocolate cake. And I enjoyed every bite of it. The whole meal was estimated to be around 1,000 cals. I…
  • I eat whenever I'm hungry. Whether it is 7 pm or 11 pm it doesn't matter to me. As long as I stay within my cal allowance I eat anytime I wish. It hasn't affected my weight loss at all. In fact I just had dinner an hour ago after I completed my workout. Will the food go straight to my thighs since it's past 7pm? :P
  • Just completed Fire 45 EZ & Stretch 10. Had so much fun that I forgot I was working out. I'm so hungry! I haven't had dinner yet.
