thanks a million for your detailed response. i think carbs is the culprit coz i am from south asia and we eat rice and roti/naan (indian bread) alot.

thank you jay for your detailed response. i guess (but i am not sure) that i am losing fat from my face and shoulders and unfortunately both cannot be measured. my wife says that i am looking better now but the scale does not agree with her lol. anyway thanks for taking out time for me.

thanks for your response. yea i have decided to increase my intake. i do cheat myself as far as the meals are concerned especially over the weekend :P. my wife says i look better and at times i also get the same impression but i am not sure. well my only workout is my walk and i don mix it up.

even twice a week is normal. if you reduce your intake below 1200 you may suffer from sever constipation so be careful plz

if your calorie intake is from 1200-1400, that's pretty healthy and ideal. just stick to wot you are doing. i know its really demotivating at times when you are putting in all the efforts but not getting the desired results. at times you lose weight faster at times slower and at times you don even lose it but it doesnt…

well i check it every now and then. your weight fluctuates by almost 2 kgs (7lbs) in a day but you don need to be worried about it. record your weight on weekly or bi weekly basis. checking my weight frequently keeps me motivated.

wot i do is i record the calories for my whole week and then work out the average calories per day. it is impossible to consume exactly the required number of calories everyday. it does keep fluctuating, so i try to adjust my weekly average to my daily intake goal.

losing more than 2 pounds a weeks is not recommended. its not good for your health, in addition it can backfire too and you may gain a couple of pounds instead of losing one additional pound

i agree with this post. i had increased my weight by 2 kg in a very short time, but in my case the culprit was the "starvation mode" i had started consuming 200-500 calories a day.

i am worried for the eid already. i know thousands of calories are coming my way during the eid. i have decided to reduce my intake to 1200 from 1400 in order to save extra 8x200=1600 calories for eid. let's hope for the best!

i would recommend you leave your exercise for a couple of weeks and try consuming 1200-1400 calories in your diet. observe the results and then let us know plz

Salam all, initially i had also decided to complete 114 miles during ramadan but due to some reasons i couldnt do that, however, i have lost 3.5 kgs since the start of ramadan and intend to make it 5 kg by the end of it. all of you take good care of yourselves
