The only time I have heard of fasting is for spiritual purposes but, of course, I haven't tried every diet under the sun. To me it seems fasting would be the same as not getting enough calories in a day and could risk putting yourself into "starvation mode" if done frequently.

A "true waist measurement" is taken at the smallest part between your chest & hips. Across the belly button is considered the abdomen. Funny how when I was growing up there was never a question about where your waist was but now with high rise, low rise, medium rise jeans we are all confused.

I use www.allrecipes.com when looking for something new. You can search by different things, low fat, low cal, ingredients. Hope it helps. ~CD~
