I'm in! Another one who NEVER imagined she would run, or even want to run! I started using the ultimate 5k program a few weeks ago, but want to switch over to the c25k app now - it seems like it pushes your runs longer a bit better than the other app. I am not going to start on week one day one as I have already done 3…

I am also one of those people that don't comment on other's weight loss. So I am sure that over time I have probably hurt someones feelings :-( First, I am always concerned that if someone has lost a lot of weight that there is a health issue. (Silly probably.) Second, I would never want them to think that I felt they…

I think that is just incredible! Way to go!

The first thing that jumps out at me is are you getting enough calories. You are doing a lot of work!

Pretty much in agreement with all the previous posts. My daughters, 23 and 20, were raised with me never saying I wanted to lose weight. (Although I needed to.) I would talk about wanting to get more fit. They also knew a neighbor who had an eating disorder at the age of 11, so we all were conscious of the health risks…

Ouch. I, too, have been burned in a youth sports activity by another parent. It is really a hard position to be in. My recommendation would be to find out if there are any policies/procedures in the organization to try and get a copy. Chances are that whatever org oversees the league would have a procedure in place for…

Congrats on day 1! I am using a different app, the Ultimate 5K. Just finished day 6. I also have a 5k goal, at the end of October. Have you picked a run to aim for? I'd be happy to be your company on the quest! Jayme

I haven't tried yoga - was invited but didn't have any stretchy pants to wear, lol! Is yoga something you do every day? Or once a week? Walking could be your fill in on the days you don't have yoga. And it doesn't have to be long when you start. You do what you feel like doing first - because which ever you try and start…

Hi Tanya - and welcome to My fitness pal! There are plenty of people on here who can help you with motivation, and I myself am really only at the beginning of my new lifestyle. May I suggest first just getting out for a walk. I am using the iphone app lolo beatburn, and find it incredibly motivating. In less than one month…

I have always thought that once a week is good. That way you aren't too worried about the little ups and downs we all encounter.

I might suggest a food mill. The better ones will remove the seeds for you. Of course it will be more of a mashed strawberry, but the flavor will be there for you :-)

Congratulations! And thank you so much for taking a minute to share the pictures with us. You are totally an inspiration to me! I cannot imagine how much better you must feel - and the medical reports are incredible!

Congratulations!!!!! I, too, am so happy to read about how you have conquered this. I'm just starting on it, and agree - jogging for 90 seconds is still hard. But each time I finish 90 seconds I feel so amazingly proud that it helps me get through. And for you to run a race - and under your time! That is just so awesome.…

Hi Mike, Congrats on breaking your plateau! I am new here as well, and agree - the biggest surprise has been just how many calories were going into my mouth. About the addiction part, well we are all in that together I think! Jayme
