  • I wouldnt worry about fruit carbs so much although some fruits like bananas have higher carbs, but when people say they watch their carbs they are usually avoiding breads, pastas, potatoes, rice...those are the ones that you should limit for weight loss! I have had great success with that!
  • Here are some of my favorite gluten free/vegan blogs!! Some are vegan, some are gluten free and some are a little bit of both :) http://www.pure2raw.com/ http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/2010/04/oatmeal-chocolate-chip-cookies.html http://www.lexieskitchen.com/recipe-box/…
  • SOO TRUE!! AMEN!! The FDA and media have everyone hoodwinked and they dont even know it! Most Americans are just a bunch of "sheeple people" that just follow the flow (media and others) and dont question or research anything themselves :( No wonder cancer, diabetes, obesity ECT are killing so many.
  • DO NOT USE IT!!! Use stevia, xyitol or agave nectar instead. Here is a DOCTOR's opinion why not to use it... Dangerous-http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2000/12/03/sucralose-dangers.aspx NOT healthy-http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2003/08/23/splenda-part-one.aspx Made from sugar but…
  • allrecipes.com! watch the calories though!! :)
  • You can add me as a friend and look at my diary if you like (I eat 4-5) :) For breakfast I have 2 eggs and 2 egg whites and dip an apple in sugar free peanut butter. :)
  • Your welcome :) Also I would eat a bigger breakfast and make sure to eat protein for breakfast. Many studies have proven that a high protein breakfast helps to eat least throughout the rest of the day. Also try and eat 4-5 small meals a day with lean protein in each if possible. This helps to make you feel more satisfied :)
  • First of all white bread...DO NOT EAT IT!! You might as well eat table sugar...it is so processed and refined that it is turned straight into sugar in your blood, which spikes your insulin, which causes your body to store fat and throws off your hormones which can cause even more weight gain. Also limit the creamer maybe…
  • My face did the same thing and I cut gluten and sugar out of my diet and it cleared up in days!! It was amazing. I also took activated charcoal to absorb any toxins in my system. Try and do a cleanse most of the time you skin reacts to toxins in the intestines (where you immune system is) and tries to release toxins…
  • My favorite Green smoothie: 5 stalks Kale 5 stalks celery 2 Green Apples 1 Lemon tiny bit of ginger root 1-2 Stevia packets. Tastes like lemonade :) I will be honest the first time I made it I was a little scared but it tastes GREAT like lemonade!!
  • Look for: -HIgh protein -wide range of amino acids -short ingredient list (avoid the fake stuff) -low sugar/carbs -low fats My protein is 130 calories/scoop with 28 grams of protein. 1 carb. **Make sure you get a post work-out protein shake and not a "meal replacement" the meal replacements have more calories for those…
  • I put a little bit of agave nectar and lots of cinnamon :)
  • The sugar in fruit is metabolized completely different than table sugar. It is bonded to fiber which in turn helps it not spike your blood sugar which causes the storage of fat. I have the same problem. Dont worry about it though nobody can get fat from eating fruit. White sugar and processed foods are the one's to stay…
  • I have a Polar F11 and LOVE IT!! :)
  • Depends on what kind of salad you are talking about....McDonalds Salads have more calories and FAT then a BiG MAC!! AHH!! But if you are making them at home and using little to no salad dressing (I dont use any) then you should be ok as long as you add some healthy fats and proteins such as nuts, avocado, lean…
  • In my opinion as well as what others have had success with, do interval training with the speeds :)
  • I agree. Switch to a 'home made" meal it will have a lot more vitamins, minerals and nutrients that are lost in processing and microwaving!
  • I agree!! I ALWAYS go over in protein as well but that amount wont hurt. Your body either uses it or you excrete it out. It wont be stored as long as its lean protein. Just watch what kind of protein you are eating.
  • You should try eating more protein and healthy fats. There are what makes you feel full. Also if your body isnt getting adequate nutrients like vitamins and minerals it will cause you to be ALWAYS hungry. I had this problem too until I cleaned up my diet and started eating high protein with lots of fruits and veggies and…
  • When I made these bars it made a lot more than 8 bars! Dividing these into 8 bars they would be HUGE!
  • You should eliminate all processed or 'white' carbs like breads, pasta, rice, potatoes ect. They are empty calories. Really any processed bread is horrible for you even if it says 'whole wheat' because they are usually just as processed just dyed. I would suggest Ezekiel brand breads and wraps usually found in the frozen…
  • This is NOT TRUE. My degree is Nutrition and Exercise Science going into a Doc. Your body uses different forms of energy depending on whether or not you are aerobic or anaerobic state. Which refers to the presence and absence of oxygen, respectively. Most of our cells prefer to get their energy by using oxygen to fuel…
  • You can get plenty of fiber from fruits and veggies!! Which would prob happen naturally if you lower your carbs. :)
  • This is the exercise I was talking about too!! :)
  • I dont know the name of it but in all my exercise science classes the best one we were taught is you go into plank and put the tops of your feet on a big medicine(yoga) ball. The large inflatable one. Then you draw your knees into your chest and back into plank. It works the majority of your ab muscles all at once and…
  • I agree. Increase protein and decrease carbs. ONLY eat carbs 1-2 hours AFTER a workout that way you know your body is using the carbs and not storing them as glycogen (fat). Drink a lot of water as well :)

  • The online BMR calculators are not that accurate because they dont take into account muscle mass vs. fat mass. The best thing to do is to go to professional and do a real BMR test where you breathe into this little machine. I dont know to much about it but I know my BMR was a lot higher on the machine then the calculator.…

  • I live in South Africa right now so I dont think we would have the same brands of protein, but I would look for a low carb/sugar one and make sure its a protein shake and not a meal replacement or bulking protein!! If you go to most health stores they can help. Just make sure its a post-workout protein. Also if you can…
