I had a feeling before I stepped on the scale I wasn't gonna like it...was down 4.2 lbs first 3 days but up a pound this morning :/ Really didn't do anything differently yesterday. Might have been slightly less active but not much. Ugh. This is what happened with Paleo. I lost the first week and then stalled quickly.

Day four here...feeling very weak...however may not necessarily be diet related. I have weak/dizzy spells due to my autoimmune diseases. I've been keeping my sodium around 3000 a day.
-
Interesting that you say not enough sodium can cause water retention...on the regular boards people are always saying that too MUCH sodium causes that. I wonder why?

I'm curious about the macro percentages. Right now I'm doing a modified keto because I'm still nursing infant. My percentages are not quite what everyone else's are. However I'm wondering how do you get so much fat without the proteins? I think my protein has been a little bit higher

Started Sunday, down 4.2 lbs so far! Still so afraid it's suddenly gonna stop working. (I know it won't go this fast for long, but I'm enjoying it while it does! Lol.)

After 2 days I'm down 2.6. Keeping net carbs around 50 bc I'm nursing my 9 month old. I'm cautiously optimistic that this will finally help me lose weight after failing at EVERYTHING else I've tried. My goal is to add exercise in over the next week . I've hardly worked out at all in the past 9 months. I have a couple of…

@fanncy0626 : thanks for the helpful info! have you lost all of your weight on keto?
-
Also, I haven't started exercising yet...hopefully soon :/

I'm down 2.6 lbs in 2 days. Is this really possible? Am i suddenly going to rebound and gain it back? (Can you tell I'm paranoid bc of all my dieting failure?)
-
Thanks!! Am I correct in believe its net carbs we count?
-
Day two...yesterday was ok...major temptation last night : lemon meringue pie. I resisted :) My goal is 50-60 g net carbs (im breastfeeding) Weight down 1 lb today. Just made a super yummy recipe to help with my desire for chips. http://thebigapplemama.com/2016/10/low-carb-cloud-bread-chips.html Hoping this is the…

Do these stall weight loss?
-
Thanks! I did miss that one at first!
-
Thanks! I'll check that out. I remember hearing /reading a while back about a fear of toxins being excreted into the milk? I hope that's not true!
-
How do you get in all that extra sodium?
-
Starting today. I have 110 lbs to lose. I've done low carb before, but never stuck with it long enough to see much success. Counting calories alone has not been working. I'm currently nursing a 9 month old (he also gets 3 meals a day of table food) ...does anyone know if I need to make adjustments bc of this?

Do you both think Fitbit calorie burn is more accurate?
-
Thanks. Love this chart . Do you recommend eating back exercise cals? (I use a Fitbit with HR monitor.)
-
I was unable to lose on 2000 cals , which is why I switched to 1490, the MFP recommendation. Maybe I should try the setting for 1.5 lbs, see if that is better. Thanks :)
-
You're right. 1790 was when I had it set to lightly active. (My Fitbit usually shows a calorie burn of 2800-2900.) when i changed it back to not very active my cals went down to 1490. I used the above TDEE cal and it also said 2300. My height is 5"9.5, weight has been between 275-277, and not very active. I'm a…

MFP originally set me to 1790 , based on 2 lbs a week. So of course, it's expected I would eat excercise cals back. My TDEE is 2300. I have been recording everything, weighing and measuring etc. I've been counting cals for a couple months now. I am currently nursing my baby, but only 4 times a day now. I just wonder if I…

I want to cry

I confess I'm considering bariatric surgery. I just can't seem to lose weight.
-
Thanks all! MFP had my goal at 1760 (technically I should be able to lose as high as 2200) but I wasn't losing. Now I'm aiming to get 1200-1400 this week to see how that works.
-
Wow. Thanks! It's good to hear concrete details! Gives me hope!

Thanks for your feedback!

I've run the gamut....about 5 years ago I lost about 70 lbs doing medifast, which was 800 cals-1000 . Then I became ill with two autoimmune diseases and gained it back with interest. I tried eating that amount again, without their packaged foods, and didn't lose. I tried low carb, paleo, and even a metabolic reset with…

Yes and yes

Oops. Somehow I accidentally put my reply on quotes too. I was trying to say that my bag TDEE over last 3 weeks is 2900 cals !

Hi! I've been overweight about 95%of my life...really all but 3 or 4 years of my life. I've lost a lot of weight before doing severe calorie restriction/meal replacement. I have Hashimotos and Autoimmune Joint Disease, both which make exercise a challenge. I just had baby number six 8 months ago...I have about 110 lbs to…
