Can I really lose eating 2000 cals?!?! I ate 2000 yesterday and my weight was up 3 lbs today!
-
Oops, hit reply to quickly. When I start exercising regularly again is it better to change my TDEE or eat exercise cals?
-
Thanks! I know I downloaded the introduced guide a couple years ago...so I'm familiar with the material but foggy. I am nursing and I'm a homeschooling , part time working mom of 6 ...so maybe light activity would be better. I think that puts TDEE at around 2700...,so then I guess I would eat at 85% of that. (15%cut)

Thanks for your quick reply! Now, any recommendations for using my Fitbit with EM2WL? MFP automatically adds cals from daily steps and I'm guessing I don't eat those extra cals?
-
That's great! Thanks!
-
Ok. Thank you both! I think that's a big problem, I give up and switch things around if I don't see change after a week.
-
Ok. Thanks everyone. One more question: in general, do you think it's better to eat the same amount of calories every day, or to fluctuate based on activity? (For example, keep my calories on the lower end and only eat more on really active days, or keep my calories a little higher based on a light active lifestyle and not…

It does have a HR monitor. (It's the charge HR) 38 , 5'9 1/2 " , 275 Would like to lose 2 lbs per week.

Should prob add that according to Fitbit, my daily calorie burn is usually 2700 and above, but I don't know if that matters or is accurate.
-
Lol. Just realized my typo. "Fitbit " :)

Thanks for the great advice Jennifer ! Thankfully I rarely have to supplement much most weeks. Mainly if I pump for a bottle bc I usually can only get 2oz at a time. Then I mix it with some formula. Some days he'll get a 2 oz supplement but it's becoming more rare. I've been trying to have oatmeal and Brewers yeast a few…

Thanks for the feedback ladies!!!

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions! My local hospital had a support group led by lactation consultants which has been great! Unfortunately, even they agree that I need to supplement at times. My supply just doesn't keep up and never has with any of my kids. (I have twins too :)

I'm 8 weeks post partum, need to lose 100 lbs and am very frustrated. One website suggested 2100 calls for weight loss while breastfeeding but I'm not losing. Are you ladies doing low carb too?
-
Thanks!!! Off topic, are those twins in your profile pic? If so, how old? I have 6 yr old twins (and 3 other kiddos :) Thanks for taking the time and giving advice!
-
Thanks. That helps :)
-
Thank you!!!! That all does make sense. I looked at the website but didn't see the forums. I'll check them out.

MFP says 2330 for maintenance. Are you saying I should eat even more when I exercise? Thanks
-
I use a fitbit also...so i get a daily acct of calories out. I'm a home schooling mom of 5 and I work part time at a hospital, which consists of significant time on my feet. That link you posted showed my TDEE to be over 3000!!! I'm hoping I did something wrong. HOw much should I expect to gain?
-
Great, THanks! HOw long have you been doing Atkins? Has it been working for you? -mj

Usually between 60 and 150 g. Any higher and my weight goes up :(
-
Thank you both!
-
Oh wow. I'll have to check this out. Thanks.
-
I'm using 10, 15 and 25s. I really need some 20s but haven't seen any cheap yet :)
-
Thank you! I do get checked regularly b/c my mom's is basically dead (she's on medication). So far (as of May) mine is sill fine.
-
COngrats on the loss and thanks :)
-
Yep. Sorry you're there too :(

I use a scale or measuring cups. I usually just use the cals burned MFP says, which still doesn't take me above my BMR. I've considered a HRM but am not convinced it will make a big diff. for me. I did talk with DOc and she was ok with me stopping Zoloft. I can't remember if I've tried 1500.... It's close to what I'm doing…
