I lost 80+ lbs before setting foot in a gym. It most definitely can be done!!!

Last time I had a cold, I had the same question. I still worked out but didn't push myself as hard. I did lower intensity workouts (a light walk, pilates, etc). That way I didn't get out of the habit, but didn't wear myself out. I honestly think it helped me get healthy faster.

That is awesome!!! Nothing feels better than seeing those sizes go lower and lower!! Congrats!

I would go with Chipotle also! But for me, it is a chicken fajita bowl. Ideally, with 4 scoops of the Hot red tomatillo salsa. Oh my god, my mouth is watering. I basically make hot sauce soup out of it. I wish I had never opened this posting...

That shouldn't be embarrassing at all! Those are excellent results!!! Congratulations!

I love Luna bars! My favorites are Nutz over Chocolate, Choc Peppermint Stick, Choc coconut, & Lemon. They taste so good, just the right amount of chewiness, and keep me full enough to an early lunch on days that I can't eat a real breakfast. I want one right now...

I tend to have the opposite effect. I am usually a little slap-happy after I work out. I would look at what you are eating... either before or after...

Before I started, I used to drink about a half a handle of captain a day (that is right people, not half a liter... the BIG bottle)... No intervention necessary. I cut down my drinking to on average 2 days a week. When I party, I mean it. But I try not to during the week. It DEFINITELY helps to cut WAY down on the booze.…

If I do cardio, I like music (I actually like to sing along or at least mouth the words as a distraction). But the beat of the music helps me keep pace. When I do strength training though, I don't need the music.

Because in normal people's... not tv people's... daily lives, it is NOT doctor supervised. Losing weight that fast can be very unhealthy and quick losses tend to be less sustainable. If losing 2 lbs a week is a "slow loss" then I pray to lose slowly every week!

I wear mine just under my chest. Make sure it is flat on the skin, and that you wet the sensors. Also, when you start it, it gives you your heart rate... start it while doing nothing, take your own heart rate and compare to what the watch says to make sure it is the same...

Music helps! The right song can make all the difference. This sounds silly, but I give myself little pep talks. If I am running, I talk myself into "just another quarter mile" or "you can do 3 more minutes". I find motivation in being able to do something that I have never been before. If you can talk yourself into pushing…

I just use water on my FT4. No issues so far. And ditto to the sweat comment!

Mmmm!!! Yummy!

I have tried to "Make up" for may calories before. It didn't hurt my weight loss in a given week, BUT when I would do that, I would be hungry and exhausted and just generally feel like junk because I wasn't eating enough. (Granted, I was eating AT least 1200 cals, but would not hit my calorie goal, and wouldn't eat my…

$70 is a lot! But I saw him and he was great!!! I don't think you would be disappointed, if you can spring for it.

Welcome to this site!!! I am not a cook, so I can't offer any recipes, BUT I lost 90 lbs before I even set foot in a gym! So it certainly can be done! When I first started out, I used the Wii fit for exercise. There are some on there that can be a good workout! Also, getting outside and walking is GREAT (When the weather…

I didn't read the whole thread so forgive me if this is repetitive... It is VERY possible that people are noticing, but it is a weird topic to approach. People are reluctant to say anything because if they are wrong, they don't want to offend. (I have lost over 90 lbs and people that see me everyday at work...but that I…

Thank you! I will check that out!

That is fantastic! Great work!!!

Calories burned (jogging, strength, and some "just dance") 100 various ab exercises done. 1/2 way through my water, but won't be able to check in later. I will drink it all though!!! Thanks for the challenge!!

My most common/favorite healthy breakfast are... Yogurt w Kashi Go lean crunch and maybe a banana Wheat English muffin with scrambled Egg (beaters), 1 slice cheese & spinach (Yumm....) And mornings when I do not have time to eat real breakfast, I eat either a Luna bar or a Lara bar... then then eat an early lunch. Now I…

Do you eat your exercise calories. I know it sounds crazy when people say it, but try eating more. I tend to have better weight loss week's when I consume all of (or close to) my calories. Especially where you are jogging, I think eating those calories may be important. Just a thought... It is definitely easy to get caught…

Skim milk for me (I prefer it... very refreshing) No to white bread (also a prefernce thing) But White Rice/Pasta, I eat when I am out. At home I use wheat pasta & brown rice... But I eat out more than home, so I am probably eating more of the white stuff :) Haven't any any problems losing. (Except a few minor setbacks…

That is funny, because my HRM almost always says I burn MORE than what MFP calculates. I tend to use MFPs for that reason...

I will give it a shot! I have been terrible all week, and this weekend isn't looking good either (well, not calorie-wise anyways)!! Hitting the gym shortly. About 4 glasses of water in....

I bought the Polar FT4 on Amazon a few weeks ago, and I love it! The chest strap isn't uncomfortable (I thought it might be, but was pleasantly surprised). I like it because it really gives an accurate calorie burn (I think) and it helps me know that even when I feel like I need to quit or like am going to die, My heart…
