In My opinion, I think 1500 cals is a little low. Maybe try changing your goal to 1.5 or 1 lb a week, and see how many cals you are allowed. I have had mine set to 1 lb per week since I started, and have averaged 1.7 a week. Also, make sure to eat calories that you are burning off. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but…

I have those days... my problem is what I choose to eat on those days too. My suggestion is to avoid snack foods (which is what I tend to go for, and am NEVER satisfied). I agree with adding protein and maybe lots of leafy greens (baby spinach... yum). Or carrots/hummus, celery/peanut butter. Pretty much a low cal…

Yea, I mouth the words at the gym (at home, all bets are off... I will sing). It works as a distraction and helps me get through a jog. If I am doing weights or machines though, and a good song comes on over the speakers, I sing and dance a little. (But usually there is no one in ear shot). Life's too short, keep it light…

That is awesome!!! Congratulations!! And you're son is adorable!

Sometimes gain, sometimes lose, sometimes stay the same. No matter what, I blame all the negative behavior (i.e. over-eating, not enough exercise that week, chocolate, etc...) on the PMS and move on the next week :). That may sound like an excuse, but I find it much easier to "move on" if I don't get down on myself because…

That is really nice!!! Definitely an accomplishment if a 16 year old notices!! Good Job!

The gym is not a place that I want to talk to ANYONE. I almost go out of my way to avoid eye contact with people. It may seem rude, but I don't want to think about anything other than the task at hand.

Whenever I feel like eating carbs! :) I try to eat "Good" carbs (wheat bread, brown rice, etc) but I eat them whenever!
-
That is fantastic!!! Congratulations and keep up the great work!

Started as weight. But I had a lot to lose! Now that I am closer to my goal, it is definitely fitness/health. I am still working towards a weight loss goal, but now it is really about toning and meeting workout goals (i.e. run faster/farther, lift heavier, etc). I used to get really upset if the # on the scale didn't move…

Wow! You are absolutely beautiful! Great progress!
-
I think that is incredible!!! I would just keep going, as long as everything you are doing is healthy, and be proud of the loss!!! That pace will probably slow down (and you may see a gain if your body tries to level out a bit...Not that this will definitely happen)... but don't get discouraged! Congrats!

That is a powerful visual!!! :)

I'd just drink the wine. Antioxidants! :) Have 1/2 a glass, and do 10 min on the stair-master!!!
-
That is unbelievable! Congratulations!!!!

I think that is a great start! Try not to focus on the weekly # so much. I have a tendency to lose 5 one week, then gain 3, lose 2, lose nothing, etc. On average, I have lost 1.7 a month... it works out to be totally worth it!!! Just one more thing I would caution... Make sure you are eating enough. Close to your daily…

Haha... Thanks again to all! To those who are wondering about the arms... Don't let me fool you. I still have a bit of the "Flab" under there. BUT I also have some pretty cute muscles too! I told a few people this, and I will share it here... It was not about losing the fat in the arms, but toning. I have been focusing on…

Thank you all so much!!!

I can't say I have ever ordered anything steamed.... But I probably will tomorrow! Thanks for the suggestions! I am getting hungry.

I am doing the CT one in September!!! Super pumped about it!!! Trying to find a good way to train for it (I have got the beer part of it down though!!) Good luck in GA!!!

I've heard that mornings are better, but honestly, I think as long as you get the workout in, it doesn't really matter. I NEVER workout in the mornings. Hasn't seemed to hurt anything. The only thing I would say about night exercise is that I tend to be awake longer... but that is unrelated to your question... :)

I haven't been following the c25k, but started jogging about 3 weeks ago. I have been trying to get an average of 3 miles jogging in probably 4 days a week (sometimes I can do it straight through, sometimes I walk/jog/walk/jog). Typically I walk at 4-4.3, jog at 5.3-5.7. Seems to be a good speed for me for now, but hoping…
