I would say work on your stamina for sure. I don't know what kind of obstacles they have but I would also work on arm strength. Plyos really helped me out, too.

Enjoy the run. You'll have a great time!

Congrats! I keep eyeing the Warrior Dash thats Coming to Northern Oregon. I would love to participate. Problem is I do not run, and I have no arm strength. LOL... I might just do it anyway. I could be the only 55 year overweight woman crawling in the mud! Can you tell me things I could do (at home) to strengthen my upper body?? I am starting the C25k this week to help me with the running part.

Push ups! Start with modified ones on your knees and work your way up. Another awesome calorie-burner is jumping rope and it builds stamina.

Peole of all shapes and sizes participate. You'll do awesome! I also love that everyone encurages each other. Most people do it to have fun and push themselves physically but if you get stuck on an obstacle, they give you a helping hand.

Good for you! Looks like fun. Someday I would love to conquer the "Tough Mudder" but I would really have to work on my lung capacity!

That is what I will do then! I just want to go and play in the mud and climb stuff! They may have to pull me off the ground after anything on the ground but I do not care. It just looks like so much fun and I love fun! I also love getting filthy.

    Thanks for your advice!
