  • I bought a HRM, it's really the most accurate way to know exactly what you are burning.
  • So today will be run 1 of week 6. A few weeks ago when I looked ahead...week 5 and 6 were terrifying. The other night I completed week 5 and I was certain that there was NO WAY I could run for 20 min straight. Suprise, suprise! I did it and I survived....now my only concern is that winter has hit Alberta. I'm still hoping…
  • Where in Canada are you. I know our hospital has plenty of postings. When I started I applied on EVERY posting Alberta Health had- and took the first one that came along. Just to get my foot in the door. Once you are in, it's much easier to get the job you want.
  • Thanks! I'll have to watch this after work when I have more time!
  • Hi! Thanks for starting the group! I just ran Week 5, Run 1 this morning and it was tough for me. I had to really push myself to finish the last 5 min run. I'm terrified of the nest 2 runs!!
  • Yay! I think I will love this new group feature!!
  • I would be happy to be your friend. I am also a Mom of 2...and I'm trying to lose all my baby weight and then some :)
  • Will post tommorow when I have more time!
  • Keep your eye on the prize! Maybe you should carry a picture of yourself at your goal weight...and everytime you are at an event...look at the picture before you order another drink or grab that dessert square you are contemplating.
  • Incredible! You look amazing.
  • I apologize for being neglectful of my group :( Shame on me. Just been very busy with work and the kids. I'll try to catch up with everyone tommorow. Hope everyone's weekend was great!
  • Good question...I'm interested in the respnses.
  • If you still feel like you are struggling then I would stay at the level you are currently at. When you feel you are ready to move on to the next level then go for it! If it takes you 45 or 60 days to finish it it doesn't matter. You are still working out every day and that's a huge accomplishment!

  • I started my workout routine with Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. It's 30 minutes, at home, and requires little to no equipment. It's a tough workout that mixes cardio, abs and strength training. I lost weight and inches and it was a quick success that motivated me to continue. Good luck!
  • Move on. Clearly he can't be trusted...so just be grateful that you two ended the relationship before he betrayed your trust with something worse than an online dating profile. You WILL find someone who can be trusted and wants to be with you and only you.
  • okay ladies...the kids and I have been sick with colds for just over a week. So I haven't run since last Tuesday, and no Jillian Michaels to kick my *kitten*. I got on the scale today just to check...and I'm up 1 lb already. So I'm cranky and feeling sorry for myself. I need someone to give me a kick in the *kitten*…
  • Sounds delicious! Thanks!
  • Try to force something in...so that you don't end up collapsing. But stress is hard on the body...if you feel sick or like you can't eat thaen you can't force it. Try to put some kind of fuel into yourself, take a few days to grieve your loss, and then start working on picking yourself back up and moving forward. One…
  • You. Look. Incredible. Good for you!
  • Do you like it when you get feedback from others on your accomplishments? Yes. It's nice when other people who understand how hard weightloss and staying motivated are acknowledge what you've done. - Do you need motivation to keep logging in? No, I'm pretty good at logging my meals and exercise.... - Do you want to help…
  • Hi ladies! Sorry for my absence this week. I just recently returned to work full time. I work 12 hour shifts, so when I get home I try and spend some time with the kids, then I run with the dog, shower, spend time with the husband and I haven't figured out yet where to fit in all my MFP stuff :) For my workouts I just…
  • I had really enjoyed my run earlier this week and was looking forward to finishing week 3 between Thursday and Sunday...my kids have passed along their chest cold to me and now I don't know when I can run again :(
  • I was super nervous about doing week 3, but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting! I didn't find it a struggle until the last 2 minutes or so and by then it's easy to tell yourself "It's only 2 more minutes"
  • Good for you! If you are courageous enough to get out...then you are strong enough to reach all of your goals!
  • I would love to join you ladies!! I have a 1 yr old boy and a 2 1/2 year old girl and the back to back pregnancies were very hard on my body. I need some MFP friends who understand how hard it can be to maintain a healthy lifestyle and an exercise program with little ones added to the mix. I just returned to work full time…
  • I just started Week 2 of C25K. My shins are still a litle sore when I finish- but much better than they were following Day 1. My best advice is make sure you have a good pair of runners. I am not a runner....I have never been a runner....but I'm going to make it all the way to the end if it kills me!
  • Hi all! I started C25K last week, so I just did my first run of week 2. I would really like to hang out in your forum for support and motivation from other new runners if that's okay with you all. Due to my work schedule I'm not sure that I will always fit in 3 runs per week- so I imagine I'll finish the same time as…
  • You look incredible! Thank you for having the courage to tell your story and post the pictures, because you just inspired SO MANY of us, and reminded everyone that with hard work it CAN be done!
  • Congratulations and thank you for inspiring me to continue. Tommorow morning is my last run of week 1....and I'm terrified to continue on. I am not a runner....yet....
