Santa is bringing me a 8kg & 10kg kettle bell set for Christmas this year. I love using them at the gym so want some at home too for the days I can't make the gym. The difference in my body shape without any change in my actual weight is just amazing & the loose skin I have from losing 70+lbs without exercise is definitely…

14lbs or about 6.6 kgs well done on the weight loss, you look fantastic.

If you think you are old enough to be engaged then you are old enough to be honest with your mum about it, call her first thing in the morning & tell her you are engaged, if she kicks up a stink, remind her you are an adult & that you would hope she will be happy for you but if she isn't then you hope she will be grown up…

I'm genuinely surprised at how many people feel it is their right to trawl through & comment on the diaries of people who aren't on their friend list. talk about ego. MFP is a resource for people to use as it suits them, there is no rule that states diaries should be public, there is no rule that states you have the right…

why would people feel the need to keep their food diary private? None of your business, just like my diary

20 dollars worth of petrol will get you 200 miles? Damn I need to move to America, 20 dollars (around 13 quid) wont even move the needle on my petrol gage. Personally I would have just said, no sorry, I'm still waiting for the other money you borrowed to be paid back & wished them well but lets face it, their whole story…

welcome to the club Julie, the forum is a great way to get things off your chest, get support & generally recognise that you aren't alone. There are many of us (like me) who go 3 steps forward 2 steps back in our quest for better health & lower weight. Just keep trucking though, accept & move on when you fall off the wagon…

In UK it is generally advised to NOT co sleep if you are overweight, something many of us are or have been. It is also advised to not co sleep if you or your partner smokes, drink alcohol or suffer from sleep issues. As a baby my son never slept in the bed with us, he had a crib next t our bed then went to his own room…

I recently worked with a Twinkle, she was Indian (the Asian kind not the native American kind) Husbands best friend called his daughter Guitar (that is a nickname she also has a full thai buddhist name but a per thai culture will for most of her life be referred to by the nickname) Thai people give their kids kids really…

100% agree, I have lost less than 20lbs since joining MFP (my ultimate goal is another 30lbs) but my body shape has completely changed in the last few months since going to the gym & working with core, strenght, kettle balls & VIPR. I have gone down 2-3 clothes sizes & my waist has completely defined. My arms are toned &…

Gymnastic & competition grade dancing when I was in Junior school (aged up to 11) In senior school (from 11-16 years old) I was on the Kent county hockey & netball teams. Always goal keeper or goal shooter due to my height. Also competed in high jump, javelin & discus during school competitions, usually coming in 1st place…

I live 10 min drive away from Croydon. Just be yourself. Doesn't matter when he is from, if you have to change yourself to attract him then it's not worth it. That said, english lad from round here tend to be quite relaxed & like a laugh, having a beer, watching football so just be friendly & have fun. Good luck.

I pay around that for shampoo & conditioner (50 gbp) but it is sulfate free as I have keratin treatment on my hair so cannot use any sulfate products. The keratin treatments cost 200 quid every 4 months so an additional 50 on shampoo/conditioner that lasts 2-3 months is not that big of an expense.

My fat face was disgusting, so round & puffy, the slimmer I get the better my skin & the more pronounced my cheekbones & jaw become. I look younger now than I did 5 years ago. One thing that I have done as the weight has come off is to change my hair style to suit the new slimmer face structure. My fat face hair style just…

I like your attitude allaboutleah. being sexy & comfortable is not about skinny. healthy but happy in your own skin is key for me. mfp says i should be around 170 but I have 180 as my goal. last year I was at 198 & felt great but wanted to slim down my stomach more so once I get past that again will decide when to stop. it…

Not all SMUG married use the word Hubby & not all people who use the word hubby are SMUG marrieds. You made a lazy generalization about people you know nothing about & got called on it. That is not irony. Just saying.
