  • Depends on how fast you are going...the weight of the mower...and the terrain. It shows here that walking...at 3.5 mph - essentially uphill...is over 500 calores per hour. If you are moving at a pretty good pace and pushing weight to boot - it's possible.
  • Remember too that mustard, onions, and such don't add a lot of calories - if you could eat the dog smothered like that without a bun you would save on calories.
  • yes - that question came up just a bit ago in fact. Track your exercises under strength, then under cardio list the amount of time and number of calories.
  • you can't...it's one per email.
  • It does - but only the cardio section records calorie burn - so you can track the activity under strength training...then add it in summary (i.e. weightraining - 1 hour) under Cardio for the calories that are burned.
  • What warnings? What's wrong with Cool Whip?
  • Just like Dani - I took have gone to Stevia whenever possible - Splenda as my back up
  • Some do fit into special bras - they sort of weave in - this is from Amazon on the polar bra - monitor sold separately! http://www.amazon.com/Polar-Heart-Bra/dp/B000GK61L6

  • Go here http://www.easycarts.net/ecarts/ShoppingCart/Nike_Triax_Running_Series.html#SM0016 Scroll until you find the C6 - then select from Select Item or Product - it has an elastic strap for $8.95, and a chest monitor for $38.60 - not sure which you are looking for exactly.

  • I do - since they have calories. But even more importantly - I can also go back and track that I actually took them each day since I recorded them and I have a record of not only the food I have eaten, the exercises i have done, but the supplements I have taken (I even enter if they have 0 calories...just to track)
  • I'm in - I tried to join a team about two months ago - and then started traveling on business which messed it all up. I am ready to get serious again now that I am not traveling over the summer!
  • Remember - some who have put in the beer or wine into the list may not be looking at this component - only the carb piece - so it may not have been entered. It's not required - although helpful and appreciated - to fill out each item, but many time sugars aren't (same with sodium and others). If not - you can enter it…
  • As my kids would say "TRU DAT!"
  • You have to also add it under the cardio section - put in the exercises and time and it should calculate the calories burned.
  • It should be before - for example - if you have a 1/4 pound burger - the longer you cook it the more cooks out, so it can be different weight rare vs well done - but the beef company doesn't know how long you will cook it. When you buy a pound of meet - it's a pound - but it's not cooked yet.
  • Actually - it depends somewhat on how/where you are doing it. Outside..jogging would be better. On a treadmill - you can up the incline to the point that your heartrate is just as high, you work just as hard, and your knees suffer less. When my trainer tried to prove the point he had me walked, then upped the incline - I…
  • I understand your frustration - but I see the analogy differently. To me it's not like food products not giving the nutirional information - I see it more like the food products not giving me the recipe...i know the ingredients (like the HRM it's age, weight, height,. etc) - but I don't know how to make the product because…
  • Wow..that's some drop in BP...mine has been about 145-155 over 95-100 - I am hoping that the exercise, diet and weight loss help drop mine down too!

  • Remember too the need for protein and other nutrients...you want to make sure you have all the necessary food groups....and as several have mentioned fruits are high in sugar - while natural sugar it's still calories.
  • Hey....a donut and a piece of cake may be 400-500 calories...if you had a healthy low-fat breakfast, lite lunch, and good dinner - you can still stay close to your calories (including your exercise ones). As long as your calories and overall food measures are still within goal then it shouldn't matter that you had a donut…
  • I passed through Mississauga many times going from Buffalo/NF toToronto...or through Hamilton or Oakville to London - the 427, 401 - the QEW - ahhh..good times (and Tim Horntons all along the way - can't imagine why I got so big back then!)
  • mmmmm.....timbits...aka donut holes. Tim Hortons are primarily in Canada - but you can find some in US along the border states. We think we are donut-fiends with our Dunkin' Donuts - Canada's got us beat hands down with their Tim Hortons - and the coffee they make is even more addictive than Dunkin's!
  • Well - I had lost 4 pounds - but Denver got a big snowstorm (at least south of it) so I was trapped inside where I did no exercise and did nothing but eat - not a good weekend....but still down for the week. Starting - 204 Goal - 175 04/13/09: 204 lbs 04/20/09: 201.4 lbs (-2.6 lbs) 04/27/09: 05/04/09: 05/11/09: 05/18/09:…
  • I count those in my water count - add in any calories...but also as water. Don't for coffee or soda - but do for waters (flavored/vitamin) and tea. That's what I do.
  • click on my meals, then on the right select the meal you have saved - below it will show the ingredientsand nutrients - and there is a button that says delete
  • Watch the late night infomercials...if you are up that late - this is all over cable late at night.
  • What exactly is a "normal" person? Do you mean average? Typical? If so - the average typical American is overweight and many obese. The problem with our "normal" diets today is they are anything but normal...they are abnormal - abnormally high in calories, fat, sodium, etc. given our typical lifestyle. For years we have…
  • if within your calories - and not too much (that you are fore going other nutritional fresh food) then it's ok...some will say (like Dr. Oz) for an ounce of nuts each day for their omega 3s and other health benefits...and dark chocolate has important flavanoids and are part of the MUFA (mono-unsaturated fatty acids) that…
  • Aren't those laughing cow wedges the best? I think they like 45 calories...and you put them on crackers, spread on celery, nibble on by themselves, and they come in French Onion, Garlic and Swiss I think. Now another use!
  • I do about 3.6 MPH for 35 minutes...and that is burns 350 on my Polar - but I weigh 200 - that makes the calorie burn higher....yours sounds about right. Unless you keep your hand on the treadmill the entire time to record your heart rate it won't know how much you really are working - it would only be guestimating -…
