Most medium sized fruit average 80-120 calories. Yes - all fruits and veggies have calories (some are clearly smaller...but fruits have sugars and calories)

Yes on the HRM. By the way - I put in 29 minutes at 3.5MPH and it said 174 (275 if it was uphill) - so it must take into account our stats.

We had some yesterday - and we used a Glad or Ziploc steaming bag - and just steamed it. We kept it nice and crisp - but you can then drizzle with olive oil, or lemon, maybe a little garlic (Or combine all three into a light dressing). I prefer the thin skinny ones as I can eat them all - otherwise the thicker ones are…

I'm in - my goal is 2.5 lbs per week...so that sound like the plan I am on!

It's an average - I don't believe it's calculated on your information specifically...which is why many folks use an HRM to have a consistent calculation.

I watched it and liked it. By the way - the fact that the many are opposed to him tells me that there are inherenet issues that are causing the problem (I still can't believe they forced him to have 2 bread for his first lunch - so he literally had to add a hamburger bun for them to eat even though he had chicken, brown…

I think there is a big debate still on this...here is one article I found that may help. Rolled Oats and Steel Cut Oats – Is There a Difference? Posted by Levi on November 25, 2008 in Nutrition Articles Comments(46) and oatmeal | oats With today’s health-conscious athletes, there are many debates over which food is…

I did a search on the AH website...and it said The American Heart Association recommends healthy American adults should reduce their sodium intake to less than 2300 mg (about 1 teaspoon) per day Some are now saying that to prevent heart disease and to reduce strokes and heart disease those at risk should reduce to no more…

Most of the time when you have low-fat items, they obviously take out the fat (which has a lot of the flavor) and they then replace the missing flavor with salt. Not to mention I bet some of the toppings (be it cheese, croutons, or chicken) are usually loaded with sodium.

You have to record the food that you are eating - it's not an open spreadsheet where you just enter your numbers...you literally are recording your food. Not sure that helps...or maybe I am misunderstanding.

I'm in - I am hoping for about 7-10 pounds - but I am hoping to committ to at least 5! New month, new start, new me!

Not just the pickle - but bread has a lot of sodium...and most ham has a whole lot as well.
-
Regular hand tossed pizza slices even from Pizza Hut are easily 600-800 calories - so it's not a lo-cal item (even a piece!) But the pizza sounds good - and I am now hungry for something tasty!

If it helps - Amazon has the polar F6 for around $87...so at least it's a bit less expensive.

Does your elliptical also ask for your height and sex? I know my HRM does - and therefore I think it's more customized to my body. Also - my heart zones are loaded - which indicate the amount of burn at different levels. I have always used my HRM over a machine. How does your elliptical know your HR? Is it by putting your…

Just a point of clarification - Ally is not a metabolism pill like Metabolife (which by the way, in it's early formulation years ago was problematic for driving people's hearts crazy and I think it was pulled and re-formulated). Alli actually binds fats so they can't be absorbed - so it's designed to eliminate (pardon the…

Wonder Bread has a couple of light breads (white, wheat and italian) that I think are 40 cals per slice

I couldn't believe this - so I googled it - and it's all over the place. And the pics of the omelettes look great. This is awesome!

Got my wife two - Sketcher Shape-up casual sneaker (the slip on one - not lace up - but same rocking motion) and Avia's brand Avi-Motion (with Famous Footwears BOGO 1/2 off and a coupon) for her birthday. She says that she can feel the muscles in the back of her leg and butt working. She doesn't stand for long periods of…

I found them at Sprouts!

I can be assured of the need to hit the restroom within an hour of drinking coffee - it's definitely a laxative effecting drink for some folks.

Is there a specific lettuce you are using? Red leaf? Green leaf? Iceberg? Romaine? Right now it's a vegetable medley!

Means you are over your planned number - you have had too much of that. Now having said that, it doesn't mean it's bad or that you should necessarily cut back..it all depends on what you are tracking - ie. more fiber is not necessarily a bad thing, nor protein, or calcium, or vitamins - more calories would be, as would be…

No - there is no BB APP...the I-app just came out today.

Since a Latte is mostly milk - your sugar count would be high. Might be better to have coffee with a bit of cream. It is a natural sugar - but it's still a sugar, as in fruit (lactose and fructose respectively). Some oatmeals have a lot of sugar as well (not just the brown sugar you put on top). I am more focused on…

Faerie - look up top there is a yellow bar that talks about testing out the new design. I like it fine and won't have any problems - certainly not dread. Hope others will be fine...i am more concerned about the 26th - and how I will record all that food I usually don't eat!

They do have the best rolls - and that cinnamon butter!!!!! I have to pass one everyday and it's the best smell around - their steaks are awesome

Here's another one: http://www.fitnessanywhere.com/ I found the following someplace else: Bill Schoonmaker leans forward into the black straps hanging from a metal bracket on the ceiling in the Dover exercise studio. In essence, Schoonmaker is simulating rowing using his own body weight as resistance. "I like this because…

Check out this website...it's training with suspension rings. http://joeysgymclass.com/?p=123 I did a google search - as I hadn't heard of it either!
