I don't think it matters too much what you eat. Some people will say that you should break your fast with more protein than carbs, but it's debateable. Depends more on how well you tolerate carbs. I would recommend some protein, but eat what you like as long as it's "good" for you. I saw a program once about a woman that…

Time for my Sunday check in. Lost three pounds this week. That's fifteen total.

My goal by 8/29 is 195. My goal weight is 175 or 180. The crazy thing is if I look up my BMI it says my ideal weight is like 120 - 160. I haven't weighed 160 since I was about 15, when I started working out pretty hard for sports. I'm just not built to weigh 160.

Well it's Sunday, time for my check in. Current weight 198. That's 12 pounds lost.

I totally agree with DaFrog. If you have been eating really clean and lo cal for two weeks, a binge day could "trick" your metabolism into reving up a bit. You may not see a gain at all. If you do see a little gain, call it experience and move on.

Posting my first set of results: Weight - 204 (I have only been on this site for one week, but it's been a week and a half since I weighed in at 210) I'm not extremely happy with that number, but only because I'm doing a weight loss competition with my wife at her place of employment and I don't like to lose. Measurements…

Hey the tickers are a great tool, but the weight is still gone and the celebration of that fact should outweigh the discouragement tenfold. Keep up the god work.

We've all got what seems like a long way to go. Log in here everyday, eat well, be active, and when you turn around and you've accomplished your goals, it won't matter how long it took. There will surely be stumbles (we've all had them), just mark it up to experience and move on. Logging in here will help with that too.…

Sounds good to me, although I'm a little embarassed I just had to look up what a fortnight was:blushing: Heard it on movies for years, just never really had to know what it was.

I'm in!! This is the kind of motivation and accountability I have been looking for. How often are we posting stats? Weekly, or what? I walk two miles twice a day. Every other day I do Power 90 weight training. Will add more as I go. Bring it on

Hi there. I am also fairly new to this site (or at least new to actually using it). I've been a member for some time, but I recently re-read my copy of Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle again and got motivated. It's awesome that you and your husband are doing it together. That makes it easier. I am still working on my wife to…

Cherapple and Phoenixflame, I also am an avid Tom Venuto fan. I bought BFFM about 4 years ago. I recently wiped the dust off the harddrive where it is stored and read it again (and again). Tom's info is really awesome, and every time I read BFFM I walk away feeling motivated. The thing I was wondering about: I have only…

Banks, Thanks for the post. I really didn't think I would be able to find the answer to my question without having to ask it, but I did. Just so that I know I have it, you're saying that if my goal is 1800 calories a day and that is what I take in, but then I burn 400 calories in cardio, I need to eat that 400 calories…
