Agree! Unfortunately you can't TEACH humor.... :)

ROCKET LEAVES!?!?! What's that!? It sounds fast and vegetably!

I'm with you and so are a handful of others! I thought it was a cute post! Perhaps people drank too much Serious Tea this morning or something - I bet that stuff has negative calories....

This is the Chit-Chat section...that combined with the "ha ha" face makes me think this is supposed to be fun, not serious, people!

My cat drools...and chews on shoes. She's confused.

PIZZA I cannot live without pizza in my life - so here's what I do: 1 Schwebel's Whole Wheat Flat Bread 1 serving pizza sauce (best to make your own to avoid all the sodium, but I haven't done this yet) 1 serving mozzarella cheese Veggies, Veggies, Veggies 1 serving pepperoni if you have the room in your sodium for it.…

Smoothies 1 Banana 5 medium strawberries 3 ounces chobani non-fat greek yogurt 4 ounces milk (coconut, almond, fat free) Roughly - 250 cals, 44 carbs, 3g fat, 13g protein, 49mg sodium, 4g fiber. Mix and max your fruit if you'd like. I find with this combo there's enough natural sugar so you don't have to add any extra.

You could put it in the daily notes section in your exercise log.

I was hoping this was about APPetizers because I'm slightly masochistic today and have been looking continuously at recipes for food I can't have.

Wooohooo! You can do it! We are all so much stronger than food makes us feel that we are! You are more powerful than the menu, the grocery store and your cravings. Put a few days together, drink lots of water, watch your sodium and see the pounds come off! Good luck to you!

You have to drink A LOT of water to be drinking too much (to reach water intoxication levels). My rule of thumb is half my body weight in ounces per day. I weigh 230ish, so I aim for 115 ounces or 14 glasses per day. When I workout I end up around 16 glasses. I've been doing it this way for about 5 years and I'm not dead…

I love, love, love cottage cheese - but it's so high in sodium that I need to limit it! :(

Open your diary, it may help us help you. 1) Sodium intake. Are you watching your sodium? It contributes to water weight. 2) Water intake. Are you drinking lots and lots and lots of water and then drinking one more glass? You should be. Rule of thumb for me, especially on a work out day, is to drink half my body weight in…

I only use the Wii Fit as a scale. Otherwise, it's useless to me. BUT, I guess it depends on your other activities and what you're doing to be active. If it's a choice between Wii Fit and Kinect to get your family moving - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Kinect.

I assume she meant body fat %???? EDIT: Oh neat! I just did the math! That's a good rule of thumb!

Someone probably already said this...but the goals you set for yourself should be based on your personality and how you react to goals. Do you get disappointed if you don't reach a goal? If so, you should set your sights a bit lower so that you can constantly satisfy your goals. If you strive harder when you know a goal…

Congratulations on the new job! That's wonderful, especially in the current state of things! As far as sandwich ideas, I try to stay away from lunch meat since it has SO MUCH SODIUM. If I were you, I'd grill up a few boneless, skinless chicken tenders or breasts with some seasoning, slice them up in serving sizes and…

OOOOO! Thanks for the suggestion!

To maintain the same rate of loss after losing a certain amount of weight (MFP estimates it as 10 pounds), you either have to: 1) Eat 100 calories less per day. or 2) Burn 100 calories more per day when exercising. It's just a general math thang that MFP does.

It's kind of time consuming (it takes about 2.5 hours to boil tomatoes and get everything cut up and reduced enough). Here's how I do it, but I'm still experimenting to see if I can get it how I like it: 16 roma tomatoes or combination of types - boiled, skins removed, deseeded and pureed 4 roma tomatoes or combination of…

CONGRATULATIONS! Your journey on MFP has already inspired you to start checking the labels of foods! This is an amazing thing as if you're anything like me, I used to ignore everything except calories because I just didn't want to know the truth! Some things I've changed to assist with sodium intake since I retain water…

Perhaps you're not doing your experiments for a long enough amount of time??? If you've tried all those different options in just the last month, you might just need to pick a way to do things and do it for a MONTH and then if that doesn't work, switch.

I start my very first boot camp on Wednesday! I'll let you know what I think! I can say that generally my exercise is volleyball and bike riding a combination of 6 times per week. I don't belong to a gym. So I think that joining a boot camp will - at least for me - inspire me to work out some muscle groups that I don't…

A big thanks to kelley for all her hard work as captain of our ship! Thanks for being so responsible!!!! :) I lost about 8 pounds throughout the month. I don't know if it was because of the challenge or not - possibly for the first week or two. But generally I just did the stuff I already had planned. Have a great journey…

Yesterday I got 1000 cals burned! Woot! So 60 miles for me! I'm going to have nothing for Friday.
-
Oh, and I think it would be really nice if at the end everyone would say how much weight they've lost during this challenge to see if it benefited us!
-
Hey all. I had 16 glasses of water yesterday. I'm happy today is triple day because I'm really hoping to play two hour of volleyball tonight for about 800 calories combines. Triple that and that's a ton of miles. If I can be honest, I lost interested in this challenge since it became obvious that there was really no way we…

Fruit Smoothies!!! 100ish grams of Strawberries 1 medium banana (130grams) 3 ounces of Chobani Non-Fat Greek Yogurt 4 ounces of Coconut Milk, Almond Milk, Non Fat Milk.... YUM! This makes like 16 ounces of smoothie and it's about 275 calories and 4 grams of fat (depending on the "milk" you choose). For lower carb, sub in…
