  • I also tried the Puerto Rican Pork. I cooked it in the crock pot while I was at work and came home to an awesome, lean healthy meal! Soooo yummy!
  • Well you've lost some weight on the treadmill and that's a great start! Personally, I need to have someone to tell me what to do. I tried the whole "doing-it-on-my-own" thing before with not much success. Try a workout program like 30 day shred, Zumba, P90X or Insanity or something. You don't even have to buy it. Ask your…
  • Definitely try www.skinnytaste.com. This lady blogs about her favorite meals and then experiments on ways to lighten them up. She also includes portion amounts, weight watcher points, calories, fat grams, etc for each recipe. I've been trying them all out for a week now and I love them.
  • That is so great! The thing with Insanity is the scale may not be the best indication of the changes going on in your body. I bet you look and feel totally different than when you statred! Keep it up! I'm actually doing the first onth again because I'm not sure my body is ready for month 2 yet! Are you moving on to month2…
  • Everyday. I get on the scale and I sigh in disappointment ( I hate that thing!) but I don't give up. I keep pushing through. I know what I want to be and it's def NOT a fat girl. So here's to you and here's to me and everyone else on MFP! Happy Friday!
  • Pizza. Definitely pizza. I haven't had so mush as a sniff of pizza since May.
  • Listen to your boyfriend. I totally felt the same way a couple weeks ago. I am doing all this work, being so mindful of what I eat and I didn't feel like I was getting anywhere. I just so happened to take a picture the first day I started and when I looked at that picture and looked at myself in the mirror, it blew my…

  • Good question. From my own experience, in total, I have 70 lbs to lose. I'm only down 17 lbs but I stopped listening to the scale. I'm doing the Insanity (crazy cousin of P90X) workout and I started at my own pace. I couldn't do the mad crazy jumps, or the 'man' pushups, so I modified the workout to my fitness level. The…
  • That's totally a compliment!! Rock on!
  • You look AMAZING!!!
  • Awww....shucks. :blushing:
  • First, I'm in the same boat as you: 42 DDD. I wear a racer back sports bra (no wires, that hurts) and I top it off with a Flexee cami. It has a built in sports bra PLUS the cami tank acts as a girdle, so not only are the girls in place, but so is everything else. I'm doing the Insanity workout now and there's no way I…

  • You're headed in the right direction then. The MFP app for my android has been a huge life (and calorie) saver. It makes me aware of wht I'm putting in my body and what I need to do to get fit and lose weight. Add me as a friend! We can keep each other motivated.

  • A priest, a rabbi and a duck walk into a bar...
  • It's always best to be honest. You know she'll understand. She'll appreciate it, plus she gets a new body bug out of it, so it's really a win-win situation.
  • I know, right?! That is so cool! Me too. Once I got the MFP app, I got motivated.
  • Defintely look into getting some arch support inserts for your tennis shoes. I don't know, but it may be possible...could your arches be falling? That happened to me and it sucked! I couldn't run for 6 months.
  • Nice stems!
  • You've gotthe right mindset--now go for it!!
  • Awesome! Let it fill your sails and keep you moving.
  • MFP willdefinitely help you by making you more aware of what you put in your mouth. Make sure to tally your food and exercise everyday. Don't beat yourself up for bad days--it's ok, you're human. Good luck!:glasses:

  • Wow! Awesome. Bad lighting or no, you look incredible!
  • I don't know if you're doing workouts as well, but it's important to replace your body with the water lost during your exercise routine. Your body is comprised of mainly water so how can that be bad for you?
  • I notice that a lot of people here give themselves mini-goals and rewards for each. For example: mini-goal #1: lose 10 lbs by August- pedi/manicure mini-goal #2: lose 10 more pounds by Halloween- sexy costume! Instead of looking at the big picture, try breaking it down into something "easily" attainable, then work from…
  • You know as well as we do, the hardest part of getting started is deciding to do it! Once you get started again, you'll be so happy you did. Keep on truckin'. Don't give up on yourself because you're worth fighting for!

  • That's the weird thing though. We know what we should do and we know what our triggers are but for some reason....:grumble: I'm right there with ya. I'm tired of the roller coaster (going up and down, up and down) and I'm ready to get off. Sounds like you are too. Thanks for the post.
  • Mmmm...chinese food. (This is what I'm thinking as I'm eating an apple) Do they make fried brown rice?
  • I wanna belly like that when I grow up!
  • Sigh...I can't wait to be on that side of 200! Keep it up!
  • Hi Shaun! I'm Yvette and the last time I was in the UK, I was about 11 stone. Needless to say that was a looong time ago, but I'm ready. I think you're gonna dig MFP. There are a lot of cool ppl on here, and very encouraging to boot. I like all the nifty tools they have to log everything you do and eat in a day. it really…
