My waist has increased too :( Same with the pounds. Pretty sure the pounds is water weight. Not sure about the waist though >:(

What makes you think I wasn't qualified, hmm ? I was more than qualified, but when I signed my contract they told me, "We needed a girl and your application was the first one we grabbed that fit the bill." I was a guy they would not have hired me, and I don't think that's right.

I love reverse discrimination. It's the reason why I got my teaching assistantship  Actually, I don't agree with reverse discrimination at all (or any discrimination for that matter), which is often the outcome of these "movements." Two wrongs don't make a right. LEGIT equality for all plz. I felt really crummy when…

I was spotting my boyfriend while he was doing bench press the other day. Rather than putting my hands under the bar, I had them above and moving them with the bar like a magician. This made him laugh and he had to stop lifting because he couldn't take how funny it was.

I've noticed now that really the only activity I do with friends involves food or watching movies. This has made me more creative in thinking up new activities to do with them like going for walks, doing our nails, just sitting and chatting, etc. I wish you luck! It certainly has been a pain for me.

I would assume it's twice as hard ;P

Yup. No idea what's wrong with my muscles. Increased the weights for my squats by 20lbs in one go. Nothing... At least I know I'm getting stronger, which is what counts. I tried lifting that weight near the beginning of stage 1 and almost fell over xD ETA: Maybe if I was able to increase by that much, I'm not lifting to my…

I have both a FitBit and a HRM. No, they are not the same. Try checking Kijiji or eBay for some cheaper ones. I bought mine from the website, which is probably best because it broke and they replaced it for free  Not sure if they would if I bought it from somewhere else.

where you overweight at the time? - I was a little chubby (around 165-170lbs) what happened when you lost weight after? - I lost another cup size =] but to be fair, I thought they were still a little too big after the surgery. would you recommend I continue to lose a bit more weight first? - I got motivated to lose weight…

Congrats on the NSV! I'm guilty of crying in fitting rooms, even when I was at a 25lb loss :grumble:

^this. I got back together with my "soulmate" after our first break up when I was19-20'ish. Bad idea. I don't know all the dynamics of your relationship, but seeing my friends and my own experience, getting back together with an ex is usually a waste of time.

I love my fitbit  It made me realize I burn more than I thought I did, even when I'm lazy. Echoing what another person said, I'm a visual person and seeing the numbers - especially the estimated calorie burn - really helps me. I also like that it tracks my sleep.

I'd love to know more about this...

Well, I prefer to run in a g-string, but I'm not sure if that's your cup of tea ;x

I'm glad I'm not the only one  I just really really hope I'm not wasting my time. I'm stuck with the "no pain, no gain" mentality :embarassed:

I am a big fan of the FitBit :) Helps me make sure that I'm not under eating.

I have some result pics in my profile pictures :) but here's some (this one was about half way) Doesn't look like a big difference - I only lost 1lb, but I felt SO much leaner and stronger when I finished. I may have had better results if I didn't take a break for a week due to tapering for a swim meet.

I pay attention to my weekly net.

I just use leave-in conditioner. Fructise currently.

I thought everyone has their issues.

I'll also add that my fitbit has really opened my eyes to how much walking can burn. Last summer I would go on day trips to Cedar Point, zoos, etc. where I was walking around all day. And silly me I didn't think I was burning many calories so I would eat only about 1300'ish. I'm a visual person, so seeing how much I burn…

Clearly you never bothered to look further into the case. McDonald's was serving their coffee at unacceptably high temperatures and have had plenty of complaints about it beforehand. She was the first to make "headlines" about it. Spilling a hot beverage on yourself, regardless of the circumstances surrounding it, should…

Well I got the fitbit in January! Very, very, very helpful little gadget for me. I have myself set to "sedentary" because I'm a student who sits at her computer most of the day... and apparently I'm usually a little more active than I thought (most days). So the fitbit really helps me get a better idea of how many calories…

If you saw pictures of that women's injuries, I don't think you'd say her case was stupid.

Most people in the US can't read, hence they depend on commercials without using their critical thinking skills ;)

Hey 16 year old me, Eat less. Take a shorter break from swimming, but keep active.

Cut up veggies and fruit, cheese string, rice crisps, serving of chickpeas...

I'm a competitive swimmer, and yes it's toned my arms and back a bit, but for best body recomposition results, heavy lifting wins. ETA: After swimming 9 times/week in grade school and high school with one day for circuit training, I have better results now swimming 4 times/week and doing weights/circuit training 5…
