Broken site?
I would contact MFP about these issues but seems that the helpdesk is broken! Won't load for anything. I wanted to report that water and workout data imputed on the app doesn't transfer over to the website - and now also that there's no way for me to report the issue :)

Fitbit Charge or Charge HR?
Or maybe the Surge? I've had a Fitbit Ultra and currently use the Flex. Can't decide which one to go with since I'm giving my Flex away. Opinions??

Pączki Day! and Mine's Only 219 calores
It's Fat Thursday in Poland... meaning Polish people around the world are enjoying their pączki. My mom made a batch this morning and after being a calorie counter for several years, I've finally decided to put her recipe into MFP to see the amount of calories. I was shocked at the low 219 calories, and that taking into…

2014 Masters Provincial Championships
Anyone here planning on attending the 2014 Ontario Masters Provincial Championships in Windsor? It's open to all masters swimmers from anywhere. It's being hosted in a brand new facility, too.

Yikes. 1,000 calorie difference!
So I just got a bodymedia fit yesterday. Today is the full day I've worn it. I've had a fitbit for a year and now I'm comparing the two. The scary thing is is that my fitbit says I've burned 2,100 cals yesterday and my bodymedia says I burned 3,100 cals. Steps wise fitbit says 5,744 and bodymedia says 6,389 - not a lot of…

Should I get a BodyMedia thing? Or stick with Fitbit?
I see that they're on sale and am considering it, but I've been reading some posts on here and really can't decide. I already have a fitbit. Had it for a year and really really like it. My problem though is that I've been on a plateau since October 2011. My fitibit helped me for a month to lose 2lbs but have stalled since.…

Substitutions for squats and deadlifts?
Hey all, I just switched from NROLW to Strong Lifts, but I'm not allowed to do squats or deadlifts yet due to a partial tear in my calf muscle. Before with NR I would just not do the leg exercises and do other things, but I feel like I'm doing too much with my upper body. Any advice on what I can sub squats and deadlifts…

Cellphone Carrier Help for those who live in USA
I'm from Canada and don't know anything about US plans. I'm going to Chicago for a weekend (3 days) at the end of the month for a conference and would love to be able to still text and have data while there; phone calls aren't important to me. Any suggestions on what I can get that would be the most cost efficient? My…

Foam Rolling 101
So I don't know much about foam rolling, and I'm hoping someone can give me (and others that are lurking!) a crash course on how, what, when, etc. Thank you!:flowerforyou:

Anyone tear their calf muscle before?
Kind of venting/ranting: I tore mine last August and it STILL hurts. I feel this is totally ridiculous. I let it rest for a month when I went to two separate doctors and they both told me that was the most likely case (and one used to be a sports doctor). I let it rest again for all of April during exams - the only…

Polyphasic Sleep Cycles
So I'm seriously considering switching to a polyphasic sleep cycle, still doing some prelim research on them though. I've been reading good things about the Everyman Cycle. Monophasic just doesn't seem to work for me. Would love some input and insight from others who have tried them/know people doing them, etc.…

Muscles, Y U NO HURT?
So I feel this is a rather silly question, but the forums and Google haven't adequately addressed my concern. After NOT working out for a month at all, I started doing this program and my muscles haven't had the usual soreness that happens when I start a new workout regime. I started this program before in January for two…

1 Year MFP Anniversary! [PICS]
I started this journey exactly 1 year ago today. Hasn't been easy, but looking back I can see how much I've changed physically, mentally, etc. I'm not at my goal yet (which keeps changing, whoops) but I'm happy with my progress so far :) Starting weight: 170lbs Current weight: 142.5lbs at the beginning of May (started…

Thinking of getting a Fitbit. Yay or Nay?
For those of you that have them, what has been your experience? Are they worth the money? Is there a better device out there? Any that are similar and waterproof? Currently I have a Polar FT7, but would like something to track my whole day to give me a better estimate on calorie burn.

Uped calories to break plateau, now what?
I'm just full of questions today. I hit a plateau a few weeks ago, and in order to break it, I increased my calorie intake by 160 which seemed to do the trick. But now I'm wondering if I should decrease my calorie intake again until I hit another plateau? xD I've been trying to zigzag my calories as well, but to be honest…

NSV !
So this morning my coach had me filmed (finally) to look at my stroke. And daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang. All I could notice was how good I looked :blushing: I remember the last time I was filmed in high school and looked so chunky ;( No idea how I was a good swimmer with all that fat. Now I had all this definition in my…

New Rules of Lifting for Women
So in a rush to get to school today, I forgot my book and workout sheet at home ;( Going home right now to get it would cost me a lot of gas and time. Can someone please help me out with remember the Stage 1 A workout? I know the reps/sets/rest etc., just not the exercises. I remember: Squats Push-ups ? Step-ups?…

MFP & Fitbit giving me different numbers
...as to how many calories I have remaining. Fitbit always says I can have at least 200 (sometimes up to 400) more calories than MFP. I have both accounts connected and the food between them syncs fine, but why does MFP tell me I have less to eat? :frown: Before anyone asks, yes, a fitbit adjustment does show up under my…

How much $ to give as wedding gift?
So one of my high school friends is getting married this weekend, and I have noooo idea how much to give lol. Originally, she wanted me to play some songs on the keyboard as her "gift," but I was unable to learn the songs in time (I also suspect she only invited me for that reason, because she didn't invite many friends…

Pretty Little Liars
So PLL is back to finish its second season. I heard that A will be revealed for the season finale. What are your theories about who A is? I think that it's at least 2 people. Right now my top suspects are Lucas and Ezra. Lucas for the more obvious reasons that he's tech savy. Ezra though is a lot more subtle. Even though I…

Calibration?
I just got my fitbit today!! So excited, but I was wondering if any of you calibrated it to make sure it has your accurate stride?

Same dress, different body.
At my friend's dad's wedding in September 2010: Me last Friday: It should be noted that I did get a breast reduction in February though, which is what motivated me to start losing weight! I still have a long road ahead of me to get the body I want, but damn, these pictures make me feel good :blushing:

How accurate is Subway's "Calculate Yours"?
Is it as accurate as it can get? When I put in my info, it tells me my sandwich is 297 cals.... I put the same info into another Subway calculator that's not made by Subway, and it tells me my sandwich is 400 cals... That's quite a difference. I don't know which one to log. FYI: My sandwich is 6" Ham on Herb & Cheese with…
