Anyone else competing in meets ?

I have my second meet in 5 years coming up next weekend. Would love to have others to compare times with and cheer on!

I've only ever done one meet in my life when I was about 12 so no times to compare - but I can still remember the sound of all that cheering. It was thrilling. Hope it goes well ...!

I'll be timing for my local Master Swim Meet this Weekend the Albatross Open.

Jumping in and competing doesn't really appeal to me. I am a fitness swimmer, but I see the point with a goal and training motivation, so I've signed up for an open water swim.

I've only managed to compete in one meet since starting to swim again. I've signed up for a couple others but I had a bad eye problem for one and I cold so horrible I couldn't imagine driving to another. I'm currently out of the water which is killing me (major health issue), especially since my local Y final put on a meet so I wouldn't have had to drive far for one and I missed it. Can't wait to get back in the water and aim to compete late summer/fall.

No meets for me since high school. Too burned out, like emswanson. There isn't a local masters club within 45 minutes of me or I probably would have joined them. When I move this summer, I'll probably go ahead and join the Masters team there and compete with them.
