  • Here's my opinion: Did P90X last year (no chinup bar - just used the bands behind a door) and had decent results. I am/was probably about 50-70lbs overweight depending who you ask. Ordered ChaLean and started it - I found it much harder than P90X, personally. That's not a bad thing, though. Got about 1 month into it and…
  • Go for it! I did TurboFire for 80 days in a row, no rest days, and I only took a rest day because I had a few too many beers on Memorial Day and was in no shape for my workout when all the guests left from our party. Woops! I started right back up again, and I won't rest unless something like that comes up again or unless…
  • Best bet is to get a heart rate monitor and then create your own exercise.
  • Not real ice cream, but have you ever tried the frozen banana soft serve? Slice up some peeled bananas and freeze. Then whip in the food processor. It's great if you like bananas, it's super-creamy, and I've read about others adding frozen strawberries.
  • 5'2" trying to get to 120...total loss of 80 lbs, 24 lbs into it now! Feel free to add me.
  • Yep, took me 3+ wks of consistent exercise with proper nutrition to see any loss at all. Quite discouraging, but I just kept on with it. My stubborn body had to budge at some point. Once it did, I've lost 24 lbs in 79 days (with no loss at all the first 21 days). So, don't get discouraged!
  • I've lost 24 lbs so far in the past 79 days. You can check out my blog page to see my results as of about 2 weeks ago (not sure I'm allowed to post this...if not, I'll gladly remove!): http://www.balancingme.com
  • And if you do strain, keep the whey! You can bake with it. Wherever it calls for milk, use the whey instead! :)
  • What a great feeling that must have been!
  • I haven't heard of Supreme 90. Have you thought about a Chalean Extreme/Turbo Hybrid? There's also the new Asylum by Beachbody, too. Insanity will definitely get rid of any fat and show the muscle you've been building. Beachbody programs are a little pricey, but they're worth it IMO. Have you thought about becoming a…

  • I agree with a lot of what the original poster said regarding eating clean foods, but I don't take it to the extremes that she's mentioning. Like the brownies...the chemicals in that case really aren't my problem...eating the entire pan would be where I'd get into trouble. Organic or chemical free, there's no moderation…
  • WOW!!! That looks like a lot more than 38lbs. Great job!
  • You look AMAZING!
  • Great program! Down 22 lbs in 61 days. LOVE it! Definitely high energy, but you can do it low-impact if you choose. It's a little pricey, but well worth the money. I would buy the whole set if you can because there is a schedule of workouts you can follow, and the more options you have, the less chance you'll get bored.

  • First time posting here. I'm in week 9 (wow!...had to count. didn't realize it's been that long!) of my own mix of TurboFire and TurboJam. I started with TurboFire schedule but started getting shin splints. Got new shoes and added padding to the floor, and in the meantime, I started doing some lower-impact TurboJam with…
  • Great work! I can definitely see improvements! I'm in week 7 of TurboFire, sort of. I say "sort of" because like you, I was getting major shin splints and had to make a few changes. Let me say that shin splints have always been an issue for me, and as of now, I can't run or walk quickly without getting them; however, I can…
  • Quick question - I just looked at your exercise calories burned. Are you using a HRM for these or MFP's standard calories? I know everyone is different, but I only burn about 450 for 40 minutes of Turbo and yours was at 700+. Just curious.
  • I've been doing TF and TJ the past 6 weeks. I started weighing about 20 lbs more than you, and I burn about 400-600 per workout. I'm eating 1300-1500 cals per day, and I've lost about 8 lbs so far. My scale goes up and down constantly so I try not to pay attention to it. That 3 lbs could be water, muscle or any number of…
