I believe that breakfast is a very important meal. Get those cals in early in the day, I say! We had an egg white scramble with fresh veggies including spinach today. It was more like brunch time. If I had that kind of time every morning, I would so be in for that. A typical day is a bowl of cereal with almond milk or…

Add me! I'm on every day, active, and enjoy keeping up with others.

Heya, 40 y/o active guy looking to connect with others on MFP. Let's connect!

I don't blame you for eating free food. If you're thinking about packing something for your day consider raw nuts, especially almonds, as they are great between meals and keep you feeling "full" longer. As for the McD's menu it sounds like you're already making the best choices that you have available. I would just advise…

Spaghetti. I love me some spaghetti.

Enjoy your wine, I say! One glass with dinner can be very nice and that amount of alcohol is healthy.

Hi there, I've added about five new friends thanks to this thread and am looking for more! If you've got a good attitude about health and fitness we will get along just fine. Check my profile page for more information about my fitness pursuits. It's mainly about running these days. Look forward to making some new fitness…

Hi, I've been here for a few years now. Reached my weight goals a couple of years back but would love to connect with people who enjoy living/building an active lifestyle. I'd especially like to meet a few runners! Good luck to all of you. Let's connect!

After using MapMyRun/MapMyFitness for a couple of years I switched to Runtastic this winter. I'm content with the results. I have noticed what you write about the times being off (although for my runs, Runtastic seems to pick a slower speed that what I had achieved.) I've also noticed the the calorie total seems to run…

All of the above: consult a doctor, ease into the running, and listen to what your body is telling you. From what I've seen, folks of all shapes and sizes can run, but how you run is important. Good luck!
-
I definitely fare better in the sleep department when I get my workouts in the morning. I hope you find a schedule that works for you!
-
Congratulations on your first 5K! I only ran my first a couple of months ago and I hope to run a few more this year. Best to you.
-
I'm adding back some stationary bike miles because without them I'm not going to make this goal. Four miles walked between yesterday and today put me over the top for January!
-
I will hit the big four-oh in August, but I'm at the highest fitness level and lowest weight of my adult life in part thanks to this site. I'd love to connect with more late 30s/early 40s types!
-
Over the last two days I took a three mile run and got an eight mile hike. Great weekend!
-
A three mile jog today was just what I needed! Hope to add a long hike (and maybe some geocaching) tomorrow.
-
2 miles walked after dinner last night gets me to 28.22/50. I'm still in the hunt.
-
Still not moving enough, but what I'm getting has been quality. I'm able to consistently run 5K in about 28 minutes now. I hope to shave a couple of minutes off my time by summer!
-
Ran 5K in PR time today but still falling short. Hoping our first sunny weekend of the year will help me catch up! 22.83/50
-
Ran my 5K and walked another mile today. Not quite where I wanted to be in terms of distance but I'm still in the game.
-
Two more workouts this weekend are reflected in this total. Not represented here are 4 miles on the stationary bike. I'm right where I want to be for the month!
-
Another 5K on the treadmill this morning and I am where I should be on the month. I'm going to shoot for a long hike this weekend!
-
I had a great run to start the new year! I will get back on track this month for sure,
-
I've missed the mark for two straight months, but I'm not giving up! I'm back in for 50 miles in January. Good luck, and Happy New Year, everyone!
-
A couple of great workouts at the end of December was too little, too late for me to make my goal for the month. Still, I'm genuinely proud of what I've accomplished on the health front this year. Happy New Year to all of you in 2013.

I will log everything per usual for the duration of the holidays. For me, the diary represents self-accountability and not guilt. Even on days when I surpass my calorie goal, I find that I learn from my experiences. This health journey is a marathon and not a dash. I want to keep doing what is working and push aside what…

It's been a good weekend. Half of my weekend miles are from walking and running, the other half from the stationary bike. Glad to be getting back into a routine - - just in time for the holidays.
-
Standing at 22.27m for the month. 50 seems a bit far off at this point, but I'm trying!

Got in a short run this morning. That's better than nothing, right? Now up to 12.43/50.
