Noone could convince me that from that 2nd pic you haven't been fit, athletic, and running your whole life. Congrats to both of you!!!!!

I've been on this boat and my scale hasnt budged. I will say I feel the same way...food is how I got fat, BUT when I look at what I was eating and what I'm eating now...even if I eat tons of calories...its nowhere near the same. I am eating REAL nutrition from real food sources versus back when I would eat pastries for…

I had my body fat done at the gym caliper method and it was closest to the original calculator. I LOVE fat2fitradio.com and I LOVE their philosophy. It makes so much sense...Lose weight the easy eay, which is just to eat like the thinner person you want to become and do it slowly. LOVE that! :) Best of luck in your journey.

Yes! I try to eat the best nutrition possible, but I am never going to be one of those people that "forgets" to eat. It ain't happening. I do love exercising though...always have. Even when I was at my biggest I was still very active...so I remind myself often that nutrition is paramount and key to losing fat and gaining…

Congratulations!!! That is awesome!

I very well may have missed the rules, but do we only update once per week? I have run 15.5

I was able to run over 3.5 miles upon graduating not including warm up and cool down, but not in the allotted 30 min timeframe....more like 36 for the 5k. My 5k race speed was 32:38, but thats far from my everyday speed. You will be fine and you will LOVE your race day!!!!!!!!!!! btw...I was beat in my 5k, by someone doing…

Going to the doc tomorrow, but so far..the suspicion according to his PA is that the MRI shows a torn meniscus in my knee requiring surgery. I'm told I can cycle and yoga for now. NOTHING compares to running though. :( That said. I plan on taking swimming lessons and continue cycling/yoga till I can get back on the road.

Me!!!!!!!!!! Goal for April is 60. I'm running an 8k and then a 10k in May before I start training for my first half. Woohoo!

Cocoa, but have literally lived everywhere in Central and South Florida. I go into Orlando pretty frequently. My goals are half marathon this year, Tri in 2013. I'm currently running, cycling, yoga, and weights, but am going to take swimming lessons in may. Yay! Oh and weight loss...yuck...I've stalled at 29lbs lost and…

Yep and I make a spicy marinara from scratch in the crockpot that I freeze in a big batch for the spaghetti squash nights and generally make turkey meatballs. Feels like a regular pasta night but yummier.

<has sung the song while doing squats. ;) [/quote] I do believe I'll be adding it to my ipod this evening!

Yall do know that Sir Mix A Lot advises strongly against us losing our big ole bootays. I personally like doing squats and lunges to emphasize the derriere. ;) I wish there was an exercise to give me bigger boobs though.

Fantastic article!

On a serious note, women tend to lose weight on top first and it does seem that its easier to build mass on the bottom half due to carrying the body weight during routine everyday activities and exercise.

5'7 here and as pear shaped as it gets. I pad my top half with thick foam inserts for my bras and my bottom half as been padded with years of cookie, cake, and ice cream. I can't say that I hate my bottom half though...it can be frustrating, but it powers my long runs and thankfully being bootylicious is all good nowadays.…

Feel it, Fight it, Finish It The body achieves what the mind believes If you can dream it you can do it Just one more mile...one more mile DAGSSSS I got more jiggle in my bootay than jello wigglers..better keep running

LOVE this and I wanted to ask while on maintenance calories did you see a small gain again? I'm at a plateau and now doing the same thing to see if I can get a loss going. Congratulations and you are AWESOME!
-
I agree this is brilliant and totally motivating and I know more than ever I'm on the right track!!!!
-
173.3 Still plateau but I'm okay with it. I'm tweaking some stuff and ready to get this show started.
-
Thank you everyone!!!

INteresting...I can't give up my running or cycling. I am training for a 10k and then a half and need to keep up the cardio endurance. However, I am going on vacation the first week of April maybe I would consider laxing a bit at that point to see if it helps when I get back.

i don't just walk in heels...I STRUT and rock the ish out of them. I have honestly been wearing heels since I was a young teen, practice does make perfect and you feel fantastic in them. However, don't do it if its not your thing or comfort level...it looks awful when someone is teetering on them.

I have been toying with this as being part of an issue for a while too!!!! I was thinking that there is no way I can be considered sedentary and I always appreciate your advice. I follow a lot of what you have to say on the boards and any input is appreciated. Thanks!

LOVE your advice!!!! I agree I do need to step it up on the logging everything including the exercise and making the hubby be a more reliable when he says a lil bit of EVOO...meaning what exactly? THANKS EVERYONE! Tons of great advice. I know I have to tweak some things because I really want to push out of the 170s and…
