  • My last recorded loss was May 3, at 171.6. Since then I've been up and down, haven't seen that number since then although I weighed in at 172 last Friday. Today the scale showed 174.6... Not so much fun. But I started a new workout routine 4 weeks ago (a week after that successful weigh-in). My new routine includes lifting…
  • I'm in!! I've been stalling and been lazy lately and fluctuating around the same for a month. I need to get back on it!! • Thanks everyone SO much, you really have given me some good ideas to think of and to try. I have currently been doing 3 sets of 10-12 reps on instruction from the trainer. But then again I guess I didn't tell him specifically that I wanted to lift heavy, I just said I wanted to get strong, haha! I think I'm going to try to…
  • Oh ok, thanks that's interesting. I just hold the dumbbells by my sides, with straight arms. I never had them on my shoulders, maybe I should try that.
  • Cut out carbohydrates for one week, i.e. try to stay under or at 20g of carbs per day. The "weight loss" you see on the scale at the end of the week will mainly be water but it is a good way to kickstart a weight loss because seeing those numbers will encourage you to keep going. Many people that are doing a ketogenic diet…
  • I'm not on a low carb diet per se but I have since long switched out high carb stuff for better things since I bloat easily. I did a low carb high fat diet a while ago and I lost a lot of weight but got chest pains from all the fat. I guess now I'm on more of a GI diet. Anyhow... some of my substitutes: Rather than mashed…
  • I know I'm a little late but figured I'd share PROTEINS ground turkey (lean) Frozen chicken breasts turkey franks (Jenni O, 80 kcal/frank) falafel chicken sausages (bistro sensations) Oven roasted turkey breast (deli) Harc cured salami (deli) salmon fillets canned tuna in water FRUIT/VEGGIES frozen baby broccoli buds…
  • I joined WW about 5 years ago, long time ago I know. At first I did great, went from 174 (which is ironic because that's where I am now after 25 lb loss) to about 158 without trouble. However, after that I felt as though I kept being pushed. No one ever discussed with me what an appropriate weight would be, they just…
  • I lost my "first" 25 in about 3 months (end of January til now). I've been doing 5:2 and eating about 1500-1600 on "feast days" with a "cheat day" on sundays. I do cardio about 2-3 times a week (zumba, step etc.) and I try to lift weights about 2 times a week although I've been in a rot with that lately. I say my "first"…
  • I'm somewhere betwen 5'11 and 6'0. I started at 210lb in August, I saw a picture of myself and almost started crying. All fall I tried to start getting active but didn't do so well. Ended up weighing about 197 lb around christmas, still 10lb but that took me 4 months haha. This week I weighed in at 173 and I'm starting to…
  • I've been doing this for about 2 months and I love it. I've gotten used to fasting now and I kind of look forward to fasting days, I do not have to spend time planning meals. I'm doing it for the health benefits but the method also works for weight loss because it is simple math, it isn't some sort of magical "diet". By…
  • I've been doing IF in accordance with Dr. Mosely's study and I love it. I, like you, am doing it mainly for the health benefits as I'm intending to keep doing this after I reach my GW as well but the weight loss is a nice effect. Me and my boyfriend eat 500 kcal (he eats 600) Mondays and Thursdays. In the beginning I was…
  • I'm at the same place, I want to lose 15-20 more but I want to look good with no clothes on too so I want to tone! I realize that it'll probably take a little longer to reach that goal but what the heck.. I started adding p90x to my regular workouts, I do not follow the program but do upper body (shoulders & arms) once a…
  • I'm almost 6'0 and I'm currently at 183. I started at 208 which was my heaviest ever. I'm starting to feel comfortable now but my goal is to be around 160. My lowest ever, my last year of high school, was about 140 but looking back at pictures I think I look sick, which I was. I lost weight on weight watchers and got…
  • Boiled eggs!! My superfood number one no doubt. 78 calories for one large and they keep you full for a long time. I eat at least 2 a day, either for breakfast or for lunch when I drink a smoothie for breakfast. Natural, low calorie and filled with protein.
